It's sad to see MxO go; but I suppose it was time. So i'll be here from beta till the end...

I am sad to be one of the last people from Iterator to still be here. I remember people like H4TE, Cap0ne, sgtclunk (burn in hell!). I remember Machine Radio, Radio Free Zion, and Exile Radio. I remember The Machines faction, The Devil's Advocates, Scarlet Prime/Omega, and all the other amazing factions of the day.

I think you'll find many of us returning for the end. I played on Iterator in a little faction called the Red Code Army.

Huh. I guess I wasn't lying; I will be here until the end. Didn't want to believe it would happen, though, even though it was inevitable, I guess.

Maybe I'll have a watch of the Matrix Movies, and remember what MxO was, what could have been, and what it gave me.

Good times were had. Sad times now.

I'm glad people are remembering the good times. We had a lot. More than a lot of games ever have had.

I've been rewatching the movies, too. Have a feeling I'll be doing that a lot in the months to come.

Really,  I don't know where we would have been the past few years without your stewardship.

Everything that has a beginning has an end. It was a good run. I'll see everyone in TOR or STO.

I can't believe the end is coming.  This was my first MMO.  I remember beta, the rocky early weeks after launch, and a ton of memories since.  I haven't been on in a while, but re-subbed for the finale.

Thanks, MxO.  It's been an interesting ride.

Well, if this is the yearbook I guess I better put something in.

I was in MxO at launch and I've been on-again-off-again in recent years, but I never lost my interest in the continuing storyline and vibrant community.  Even if I don't recognize every name in MegaCity like I did in the old days, I still like to think I'm a part of this universe and I will always treasure the opportunity to participate in the storyline of The Matrix.

Big thanks to the old-days Winter Brood crew.  Better friends and squadmates I could not have asked for.

Thats bull! Why would you buy this game for? I'v seen you do nothing with it but cut off what lith started. You been morons controling this game. I left and came back left and came back finally understanding what I was doing only to have you pull the plug? Why did you even buy this game from Lith.

E-mail Lith telling them to take this game back from a cold hearted company such as SOE! Coming from a player that never touched an MMO. I was picked to be an MXO beta tester, I said I'll try it till live but i won't pay. Hahahaha yeah right. Soon as it went live i was one of the first to log in that very day! I seen Lith full of life! RPing with there players! Keeping people interested in this game only for what? FOR SOE TO OPEN UP THERE CHECK BOOK AND TAKE IT AWAY FROM A COMPANY FULL OF LIFE! I seen you FIRE THE LET, I seen you bring in Pre Scrippted RPs and then suddenly stop doing them all together! Lith was full of life! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THIS! I hate SOE now. More then ever. What your doing with the TCG crap and now this! im getting ready to tell SOE Where to kiss! You are a POS company i hope the ecomy ruins you. I hope you fail! I hope you fall apart! I hope some crazy SOB takes it out on you.

You worthless POS company!

Give it back to lith, You people are killing off what was a great game! I hate you, I hate you and incase you didn't read it! I HATE YOU SOE!

To all the players, [email protected] tell em to take it back from this heartless company! July 31st im canceling my station account and calling a lawyer for all the money I spent on your TCG! Im going to take this company down the tubes for what they did to MXO!

Kiss my (____)___) SOE!

VVVV Note the sig, One of the best days in game! WAY BEFORE SOE TOOK OVER! HEARTLESS POS COMPANY!

SOE aren't the cause of your problems, sorry. MxO would have been dead in the water three years ago if it had not been for SOE. As angry as you are Monolith would have not done anything with the game in the long term.

But back on track. MxO was always a shining light in terms of MMOs, it was unique and one of the earliest to have a free-form Class structure. The setting, the feeling, the story-telling all worked and I will always remember them. I started at launch and have been around since then and though I left a year or two ago for a far more interesting and progressive MMO I still cherish the fond memories of MxO.

MxO had its time. That time is over and everyone knew it would come some day; You can tell yourself that it should not be this day, that it is not fair, but that is emotion speaking. The cold, sad, unfortunate, truth is that the Matrix has come to and end. The voice of inevitability finally catches up on hope.

Goodbye MxO, lets give you the send-off you deserve.

Euforia from Syntax asked me to post this for her:

I can't [re-sub]. It will be laggy as hell on my laptop. Still I feel saddened that the game is going to be gone! I hope to keep in contact with you all on these forums, and I hope someone can open an archive web space and forum for mxo'ers to check in on from time to time on their journeys.

I wish everyone a fulfilling journey wherever they take you, and I'm sure that sometime our paths will cross again.

I find it funny that it said AS OF June 1 Customer support and Updates will no longer be available.

On a serious note, i'm saddened to see the old girl go. I've had a great ride with it, albeit a little bumpy.

That's stupid man, you can't do anything. It's their property, they can do what they want. You were paying for each month of service, and that's what you got each month so you can't sue for a refund. The best you could have done was stop subscribing, which you should have done.
