This is really annoying if I am running a gun/MA loadout and when I swtich I have to switch my buffs. And if I forget then I am at a decent disadvantage. Have them activate AUTOMATICALLY just like the styles when you use a move or tactic that corrosponds to that tree. Then you can concentrate on what move to use next instead of "Crap! did I activate the right buff?"

And also just like the other post mentions..... call them upgrades. Sounds more Matrixy. SMILEY

I second this.

EX. You have Karate Grandmaster loaded, and all Kung fu abilities except Kung Fu Grandmaster.

You use sidekick combo, which is in the Karate Master tree, not grandmaster, so your Karate master buff activates.

You use Ki Charged Foot Sweep, which is under Karate Grandmaster, so your Karate GM buff activates while you are using that ability.

You use Extreme Falling Kick, which is under Kung Fu GM, but you don't have Kung Fu GM loaded, so it goes to your next highest buff, Kung Fu Master, and activates that until you use another ability and so on.

Would give another edge to using lower level abilities.

I also use a hybid load out (Karate/Scattershot) and having to constantly switch buffs is maddening.  Outside of interlock I want to use my dual subs at range and, depending on the situation, my free fire melee pre interlock at close range.  Then, once in interlock, I definitely want Karate outside of maybe a subs skill here and there.  Kill one target, and onto the next... which means switching back to scattershot again.  It's just silly.

Sure I could just have my Karate buff on all the time, but then I get dinged when using my subs and I still have to switch back if I ever use a scattershot skill.

Automate this stuff, please! :smileysad:

Well, it's part of the gameplay now. Has anyone tried to macro the buffs together with weapons for example?

sure you can macro it to do it that way but who wants to macro everything.

i dont like how it switches styles and you have these buffs.  it should be just like it was so  that the buffs from each tertiary are always active.  that way you can get a bonus from loading 2 trees at once other than having more abs

I agree. No use in needlessly complicating things.

I think they implemented it so if you manage to load 2 grandmasters they won't stack.

Quick solution: implement a Favorite System similar to the one they are implementing for weapons to "[put ability tree here] buffs". Next time you die or need to activate that buff again it will do it automatically.

Personally, I think you should benefit from loading two different trees! Not only in available abilities, but also in buffs. This would make multiple trees more appealing and you could customize your character's combat style better.

In either case, though, the manual activation of various buffs is insane - unnecessary hassle that penalizes the players who do not want to micromanage and keep constant track of which of their many buffs are the best for a given situation (and remember to activate them...)

Since we now have the ability to switch styles basically with each ability we choose to use, we should also switch (or stack) buffs just as easily.

As far as I'm concerned, the only reason why these buffs aren't active all the time is that you're only allowed to have one activated at a time. I can understand this, but we definitely shouldn't have to manually activate and switch between them.

I agree having to manually activate buffs is wasting time and hotbar space it also adds an unnescessary change when CR2.0's changes are already alienating existing players.

I also dislike intensely that these are now regarded as buff's when they should be knowledge encoded to you RSI as they are in the live system, no need to activate, never off and when I use hybrid trees they 'stack' as skills would if you learned them in real life - Do you know Kung-Fu? Not with CR2.0 it seems SMILEY

This is the third thread asking for auto activated abilities....we want less button pressing, more streamlining and to encourage existing players onto the QA by what is familiar but improved not what is changed seemingly for changes sake.
