Looks to be a very nice looking MMO from NCsoft. I liked the wallpaper images they have up.

That's what the MMO market is missing - fantasy titles.

Looks pretty generic to me.

Yeah, but real-life MMOs would suck.  Sleep, wash, eat, school/work, sleep.

No saving the world for me.  Oh no.

What are these Sims you speak of?

I swear.  Whenever I play the Sims I try and make good storylines to follow, and do interesting things.

Instead it always comes down to sex and lesbian affairs.  Or a preying mantis style woman who kills her boyfriends once pregnant.

I should probably seek help.

Thats nothing, when I play the sims, I like to fill the house with wicker baskets, put in a fireplace, and see who dies last.

That, or put them in a swimming pool then surround it with balloons and see if they die.

ooh.. and trap them in a tiny room with no lights, see how long till they wet themselves...

That is the best idea, ever.

Edit: Also, if Granado Espada was set in a Fantasy World, that's what it would have looked like. At least all the sceneries reminded me of that, also the character design.

I would love this, I've played Discworld 1, 2 and Noir and even attempted a Discworld MUD a while back. As long as it had the Pratchett humor and dry wit, and remained faithful to the books then it would be the only Fantasy MMO I'd think about playing.

Choice would then be; will I be a member of the Watch or member of the Assassin's guild... hmm...

You really wanna be at the watch? I'd go to the Mage guild and wouldn't pass or fail the final test through a perfectly average score. Every. single. time. (Can't remember which book that reference was in, though.)

Alternatively I'd try to get to Death. Let's face it, he's cool.

More importantly: Are there any gameplay videos of Aion, where you see the HuD, inventory and stuff?

Bummer .. thought it was the other Aeon.

Why does ANYONE still think a new *fantasy* MMO is worth starting up? What are they smoking? "Ohhh, you know what? Let's make an MMO that will compete head-on with WoW, EQ, EQ2, Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons *AND* LOTRO! Yeah!"

I love the Watch books, I'd love the chance to fight alongside Detritus (Don't Salute!) and Angua and to see the look on Vime's face when Vetinari manipulates his actions! Lets face it... Magic is untrustworthy while a sword is a sword! Mind you, I'd like to ask Hex a few questions...

Death is funny, but I'd have to meet Susan as well!

(I think you're referencing Victor Tugelbend in Moving pictures who's uncle's legacy paid for his tuition at the Unseen University provided he didn't score under 80%, which was silly considering the passing grade is 88% so Victor aimed to keep getting around 84%)
