I couldn't believe the ideas they had for this game in the beginning. Faction wars with Faction luggables (that sounds unbelievably cool). Dual fighting as a interlock skill. Last and certainly not least your own constructs with DEV TOOLS. That would have been a cash cow, I will tell you right now that right there would have changed the game. I would have paid an extra 15 a month to have that. If you guys haven't look at the forum please do you will be stunned what this game could have been SMILEY

Yeah they do look awsome i really wish we still had that old UI it had much more of a matrix fell to it i rember seing the old e3 shots back when the game was about to hit beta they were showing off the faction wars and such again it makes me wonder if this DC online game didnt come around i wonder were we would be right now

Recently got the Blu-ray version of the Trilogy....its got the trailer for the mmo on it.... so much potential and so many progressive ideas many of which still havent been properly attempted in any other mmo - but ideas and concepts I am sure will become integral to the genre one day.

In the end WoW really brought the evolution of MMO's to a standstill - exchanging imagination for a perpetual refinement of the safe and known, its something we are only just seeing some recovery from, it may have failed to see its true form but MxO was as innovative in its own field as the trilogy was in the definition of the SciFi Action movie =/

This and the next page. BTW I missed another thing they were going to have 3d maps. That could have led to building wars/faction buildings with certain targets that needed to get hacked in order for that building to remain a factions. Also there could have been a logo with on the building itself (maximum 1 per faction to limit bandwidth issues) to show that it was the factions building.

Even to this day... all the mmos i have played. MXO is the only one that stands on its own, unique, original pedastal. And woot new threads! FINALLY.
