While it's a definite help in PvP if you have someone who needs a state, I'd advise increasing the timers to 9 seconds for all status effects.

Correct me if I'm wrong but with CR2, Hacker class was supposed to take a support role instead of a Pwn Wizardry role.
No it wasn't, please point out where the Devs said so, CR 2 was designed to fairly balance the game and increase the enjoyment of this. Many changes were made to hacker as a result, but it was never relegated to a pure "Support" role.

CWe are afterall in The Matrix and not some kind of 1400's Mage oriented game. Last I check there were exactly 0 people typing into the air and creating damage or anything else for that matter in the movies or story pre game in general, but I'm sure you can come up with some kind of explanation for that one.
Indeed I can, it's called creative license. They created the hacker class so there could be a "Mage" class in game. Nearly all RPG's follow the same formula. Ranged Classes: Guns, Tank Classes: MA, Sneaky Classes: Spy and Mage Classes: Hacker. The designers felt it was a good idea to follow this generally successful and proven formula to creating a good MMORPG, without hacker I think PvP would be very stale and boring.

Bottom line, what I was trying to get at with my first post was this: Everyone gripes about MKT yet no one ever says anything about the debuffs that Hacker can give or the specials that can be run in succession with Martial Arts.
The difference, of course, being that Hacker and MA are not overpowered and do not have a giant host of bugs in their favour. MA's can ONLY deal that damage in IL and hackers, on the flipside, take an accuracy penalty in IL and can ONLY use those awesome debuffs out of IL, but of course if someone on your PvP team has a detectable brainwave pattern they would load up sweeps to combat these debuffs. The same cannot be said for MKT's, as concealment countermeasures tools are bugged and do not work. Thus leaving you in a tight spot where there is no effective counter to the high power Sneak Attacks of MKT's.

It's always "OMg MKT is way too powerful!" Well guess what? You're getting hit by knives. It's going to hurt and slow you down. Someone attacks you when you don't expect it? Going to do a helluva a lot of damage. But instead of actually learning out to fight let's all just gripe about a tree on message boards instead of taking the time to learn tricks against other classes.
If you have bothered to read my other posts on the subject you'll notice that I point out on multiple occasions that there ARE NO ABILITIES WITH PASSIVE THROWN DEFENSE. Did I make it clear enough? How is one to "Learn the tricks" as you say, when there are little to no options, and the options that are available (Concealment countermeasures tools) do not work. Please point out how one fights a class in which there is no defense against them. In other posts of mine I have also pointed out hacker does not have enough Anti-MKT debuffs to use. I can assure you if there was a debuff like Despoiler that affected MKT's I would be loading it up, but there is not, hence it is difficult to fight MKT's. I can easily tailor my hacker loadouts to kill MA's, Hackers and Gunmen in duels, but MKT's are a different story, due to the debuffs available being not nearly as effective when compared to, say, crash or despoiler. If you bothered at all to read anything at all, most of us have come to accept the huge timers and large damage, we simply ask for more options in which to prevent this from occuring.

But I'm sure you're way ahead of me on this and I'm just talking to myself SMILEY

It's muct easier that way On the few who choose that route I'm sure.
I assure you it's not merely a "few" that load up MKT. When an entire PvP faction is made up of only MKT's you can tell there is something fishy about the tree. And for the record, I load detection, I wear Watchers Shades if there is an abundance of MKT's about and I wear Thrown Defense clothing and use Hyper Sense, but if you fight an MKT who has a pulse then chances are you are going to go down no matter how hard you try.

Parting word of advice: Log off the forums and into game. Find a better than average MKT, ask them to duel some and find what works. It is VERY beatable and I myself among others have shown that gunners can have a lot of success against MKT's.
Clearly you have never dueled a truly skilled MKT and only fight the "Flavor of the month" MKT's. Duel the best MKT on Syntax and then tell me he is beatable. And if your idea of MKT being very beatable involves you having to tailor every element of your loadout and clothes to beating MKT maybe that is a hint about how overpowered the class is. No other class requires the level of character customisation that MKT does to beat them.

Oh no, the pleasure was all mine.
