If you were feeling poor in MxO, how would you go about boosting your $info? Missions? NPCs?

That question is an easy one if you are level 50, pre-CR2.0. You would grind the last mission in the 3rd Arc of the Pandora Box quest (Aptly named "The Last Showdown" I believe) with Howitzer and a little bit of Desploiler loaded up.

However, not only is this fruitless for people not level 50 yet, it will also be fruitless post-CR2.0.

The best way to get money without such lowly tactics is to do missions that don't have you escort any NPC's, that have plenty of bad dudes to kill, and which only have about two or three phases. Collect all Enhanced Weapons/Clothes and Silver Bullets/Wooden Stakes/Holy Waters that you can find and sell them at the nearest vendor. Watch the money flow to great heights in no time.

I was soloing the box 3 missions with despoiler and howitzer from level 44. Though at that point there was a lot of hiding in the lift SMILEY

When I hit 46 I could walk around the mission floor with impunity.  By 47 I had dev field and life was easy.

I am now 48, 180k xp off 49 (no plans to advance until next crits come out)

See - I can do on topic too :p

Very good, Mr. Bond. Very good indeed. I just did not know of the ploy until I was firmly seated on the Level 50 throne and struggling to gather enough $Infomation to build up all the hacker abilities needed, so for a long time I was like less than a level 46 Howitzer/Despoiler. But the strategy won't work after CR2.0 I think! Hmm... Or perhaps it will work better. I can't tell these things--But Symmetric can!

That is an ability that is no longer used by the new Combat Revision, or Combat System. Its requirement is level 99 to make it so no one can use it, basically. The maximum level is 50 but we think soon that it will rise to 55.

I'd have to say Niobe. She was definitely lacking as a character from the movies and extremely annoying to me for some reason. And she made Morpheus look dumb. That's no good.

Ok here's an actual MxO question:

When will I stop being sent to Westview on missions?!

(I'm level 27 and have all access nodes tagged in all districts except Downtown, if those make any difference)

Jumping in on this one here hehe

Go to International and call up missions instead to get a change of scenery, as the NPC's are easier to handle there and its a little more interesting that Westview :smileyhappy:

Me.

What ethnicity is Ookami? I know the name is Japanese, but her look screams Siberian or Ukranian.

Crit missions. Start them immediately. Do them on easy for a while. No matter what the difficulty setting on missions, the $info is always the same. So on easy you will be getting the best $info to xp ratio and you will need the info to buy and level new abilities.

Skip the collector items in Uriah, you'll outgrow them too quickly, get better items on npc drops and get way to much xp and too little $info farming 19 chopper keys to get all three items.

Other collector items are much more worthy. The Qgun, for example, (level 7 handgun Camon Heights collector) is an awesome weapon to get.

Explore explore explore...

Collectors, hideouts, contact missions, hardlines, access nodes, archives, exile mob (named) bosses. So many things to explore....

Get into the spy tree for disguise (level 6 ability) and use the subways to get around to new areas.

Have fun!

Oh yeah, don't wait too long to get into coding, it's never too early to start decompiling.

Be CAREFUL with the marketplace.  Most items there are significantly overpriced - you can't afford to be tempted by the nice guns.  That said, do pay some attention to it.  Particularly Item Codes tend to have some at a viable price, and if you compile them in the Loading Zone, they'll always work (although at the cost of one dot of Purity, which really won't matter since you'll have access to something new long before they'd break anyway).

When decompiling : remember that weapons tend to sell very, very well.  After you have the code structure down, head to a vendor and get some info from any other copies you stumble across.  Likewise, don't pull code bits from things like antibiotics, holy water, or wooden stakes - they are worth a huge amount to sell, and don't generate much when decompiled (and holy water/wooden stakes/silver bullets are freaking impossible to decompile until later in the game).
