Resistance Bonus not being applied?

I was checking out my stats earlier, and noticed that my melee resistance bonus was not being applied..  here's some screens..

Ok, so I have my MA load, with all my resistance stuff on...



as you can see, with this load for MA duels, I have 219 Melee Damage Resistance...  Here's a run down of everything I have on..



If you bust out the calculator, it adds up to 219...

So then I go down to my bonus...



With 219 Melee Resistance, and a 62% bonus... My total resistance should be about 355 for melee?  Shouldn't it?   Or maybe I'm way off base...

Oh yea, also, The Merovingians Boon/Glimmer of the Source...  is supposed to grant 6% to toughness...   I don't think these is toughness... but it does add a category that says "Toughness - 6%"  .. but it actually adds 6 points to all resistances (didn't it used to be 10%)



As you can see I added it on, and it boosted all my resistance by 6 points...

So, hopefully with time running out till launch, this will get fixed too, as it'll be a big help to a lot of people especially in PvP..   and yes, I did /bug it... holla.

It seems that this is not the only problem.
the bonus aren't applied to state duration, resistences and sneaking proficiency.

well we got 2 weeks untill the so called release date so they better fix it.....and keep up the good work with the bug reports SMILEY at least some people care

the majority of Vitality bonuses aren't being applied wither. Especially health regen :/

Hmm, I've just been thinking this through. I believe that the bonus percentage is applied BEFORE the stats are shown under your total. So the number you're seeing under your melee resistance bonus is actually your melee resistance * (1 + (Melee Resistance Bonus/100)). I tried this with adrenelin booster in interlock. It should, according to the details, give an extra 40 ballistic damage resistance. However, it gave my 61 under my status page. This indicates to me that bonus % IS being applied for resistances.

types of melee resistance, One is  "melee reasistance", the other "melee damage resistance".  Regular melee resistance
is defined as " Melee Resistance (MR) affects the amount of damage you take when hit by an opponent using a Melee Style.: see here
here.
Melee Damage resistance (MDR) is different.  I saw the definition somewhere but I can't find it now. Also MDR bonuses / upgraes are
only received from clothing (except the Solider Upgrade).  At least what I've seen so far.  MR you can receive bonuses from various abilities
and/or upgrades and/or clothing.  You total points (usually ecpressed in %) for MR (or any other attribute) includes the percentage bonus.  At least
 it's how I understand it so far.  You see the diffences in your bonuses section.

My understanding is that percentage bonuses are applied before additional whole-number bonuses.

Therefore, you have your base abilities that give damage resistance, which then are affected by the percentage bonus from clothing and attributes, then the additional whole-number bonus from clothing is added on top of that sum.

Say you have an ability that gives you 40 Melee Damage Resistance. Assume that I have 30 points in Belief. Also assume that I am wearing an outfit that gives a +2% bonus to Melee Damage Resistance, as well as a +60 bonus to Melee Damage Resistance. I believe the formula would be as follows:

60% bonus from Belief + 2% bonus from clothing = 62% bonus

40 Base + (40 * 62%) = 64.8. Bonuses in CR2 are truncated, so you'd now get 64 Melee Damage Resistance from said ability.
64 + 60 = 124 total resistance from clothing and abilities.

RockyB is on the right track.

Your stats give you influences, and influences affect the bonuses you get from active abilities, not passive abilities or clothing.

So your MDR influence from stats doesn't affect your clothing, but if you use one of those awakened abilities, your bonus gets applied. Or if you're an Upgrade Master type person, it adds to the buffs you put on yourself or other people.

here's something even freakier since you have screenies of the pages involved.  click on the close combat tab and watch your combat tactics change!  i run about 138, but if i click on the tab it can go to 128, back to 138 or sometimes 140.  /bugged it.
