..."wabash and lake".......

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this, didn't bother to utilize the search function.

Nonetheless...I thought you might find this humorous.  ( I was born in Chicago, so when I heard those street names in the movie...)

and a closeup of what "could" be the infamous building where Neo and Smith became one.

This was done for fun..so please no replies about the accuracy to the matrix story.

Enjoy SMILEY

Wow, neat pics/possible sites! I don't think I've seen anyone post anything like these before.

If I remember correctly, I think the Wachowski Brothers grew up in Chicago, hence the reason they appear to have modeled the Mega-City somewhat after their hometown.

Haha, that's pretty cool! I didn't know that some of the street names mentioned in the movie really existed. I guess the brothers aren't as lazy as i thought after all SMILEY

As I recall my Matrix lore every intersection in the movies are referrences to intersections in Chicago.  Now if an actual building is at said intersection is doubtful.

Nice to know I can swing by the Heart o' the City in the real next time I visit friends in Elgin...

Hmmmm...spent all my summers as a kid in Chicago.  Know the town pretty well.  Quite honestly though...that line from the movie never clicked in my head.  SMILEY

Guess what's jumping to the top of my Netflix list.  SMILEY

Yup, found another one.

Balbo and State.  That's the subway station where Neo fought Agent Smith in the first flick.

Though I don't recall a station on Balbo in Chicago.  I think Harrison Ave is the closest only a block or two away.
