Hi, can I get help in these questions?
1.
I'm still compelled by that one:
http://forums.station.sony.com/mxo/..._id=36300543851
2.
I know to copy and paste is ctrl+home and ctrl+ins, I can paste, but i can not copy as i found no way to select anything,
please tell me how to select text in game in text input areas.
3.
I sthere any way to bring back the operator's comment about the nearest HL to the mish destination? Its not on the mish log, neither in the chat box.
4.
Is there any way to move code fragments from the storage area to the inventory at a HL (not in the loading area)
5.
is there any way to attach 12 items to an email in the loading area? as the mail window covers the inventory, and if i click cancel 1 time I can attach 1 more item, but after hat, any further cancelling will detach everything.
6.
What is the method to open more than 1 window? Sometimes I manage somehow to get the map and the inventory open at the same time, but when I want this deliberately, I can never do it. Whenever i press the hotkey for one of them, then the other will immediately disappear. Yet somehow often I just find both open and I dont know how did I do it.
7.
Is there any way to get beta hyper-jump? I f yes, then is it possible to decompile it?
If I can get it, but its not decompileable, then is it possible to claim it with other character from that time on?
Thanks

Generally only text from the chat panel can be copied (click to select). System chat and Email cannot be copied using ctrl+home.

No there isn't, but if you resize your map you can see which HL is closest manually.
You can move them to the marketplace and then de-list them.
What is the method to open more than 1 window?
Next to the little [x] that closes the window is a button you can use to 'pin' a window open.

Beta Hyper Jump is available from Dr Martin in Lemone in exchange for 40 SSR Gum from the Datamine Construct. It cannot be decompiled.

1.I'm still compelled by that one:
Don't bother looking at that status/bonuses window for now. It will bring you nothing but confusion for now, really.
What you need to know about those numbers is basicly this:
Clothes/buffs/items/pills/weapons, etc.. that give you, for example, Ballistic Accuracy/Ballistic Accuracy Bonus %, enhance your chances to hit your target with offensive gun abilities/fire.
Clothes/buffs/items/pills/weapons, etc.. that give you, for example, Ballistic Damage/Ballistic Damage Bonus %, increase the ammount of damage that you deal to your target upon hitting it with offensive gun abilities/fire.
Clothes/buffs/items/pills/weapons, etc..that give you, for example, Ballistic Defense/Ballistic Defense Bonus %, enhance your chances to evade your opponen'ts offensive gun abilities/fire.
Clothes/buffs/items/pills/weapons, etc.. that give you, for example, Ballistic Resistance/Ballistic Resitance Bonus %, effectively lower the ammount of damage you will recieve upon being hit by offensive gun abilities/fire.
Same goes for Melee Acc/Def/Res, Viral Acc/Def/Res, and Thrown Acc/Def/Res.
Combat Tactics is an attribute awareded by only the Tactic Booster shots. It provides a boost to ALL 4 of your Accuracies.
Then there is Toughness, wich is an figure that affects ALL 4 of your Resistances.
As you've guessed, this is not the end of it, there are alot more other attributes out there. This however, is the core stuff.
To sum it up:
If you want to be a kung foo lad, gather up on clothes that give you melee acc/damage, and ballistic resistance/defense, partly because melee has a weakness to guns, and because while you level, the majority of the NPCs you will meet will be using guns.
5. is there any way to attach 12 items to an email in the loading area? as the mail window covers the inventory, and if i click cancel 1 time I can attach 1 more item, but after hat, any further cancelling will detach everything.
Loading Area mails are borked, but you can easily send 12 items by mail from a hardline.

3.I sthere any way to bring back the operator's comment about the nearest HL to the mish destination? Its not on the mish log, neither in the chat box.
Fen mentions resizing your area map, which may or may not work depending on where you are and where the mish area is. Another way to check the closest HL to the assigned mish area is to use the atlas by pressing the ; (semicolon) key. Not all hardlines appear on the atlas, unfortunately, but your mish area will appear as a green icon and even if you can't see the closest hardline on the atlas, you should at least be able to guess at which one it is by the general area the mish icon is in.
Another possibility, and I don't know if this will work or not, is to check your mission log. If you open your mission window (N key) and then select the Log tab, the operator's last comment may have been added to the log. I know some of your op's comments do appear here, but I don't know if they all do.
@GypsyJuggler:
That was an awesome answer, thank you.
@Hyperviolent:
Thank you for your effort, I feel ike I'm getting to understand it better.
But it still only a starting point, I want to understand correctly. So:
"Combat Tactics is an attribute awareded by only the Tactic Booster shots.
It provides a boost to ALL 4 of your Accuracies"
So there is no actual base value for CT in CR2.? Is it 0 or irrelevant as a base value (as Bayamos said) all the time, except when the booster gives "bonus CT", which means adding bonuses to all the Melee,Ballistic,Viral and Thrown Accuracy modifiers?
But the Accuracy of each of the Melee,Ballistic,Viral and Thrown bonuses are not bonuses themselves? They should be added to some base Accuracy value(s)? What are these base Accuracy(and what are also the base Damage,Defence,Resistance) values then, and what are themselves based on? Probably on character level, and/or loaded abilitiy combat styles, like kung fu master, or spy?
@Shinryu:
It isn't logged on the mish log, but the map resize is a very good idea. It is only a bit misleading that there is a +/- button at the bottom, and it made me think that only those control the visible area on the map. Now I see that they only +/- magnify, and map resize is also possible.

Yes and yes.
One way to get as close to base values as possible would be to undress, run a stat hack, and unload the Awakened ability from your RSI. That way, all you will be left with will be the bonuses granted by the character archetype starter attributes at the very beginning of character creation: Suspicious Cynic, True Believer and so on.
Either that, or simply create a new character, suicide in the tutorial, and unload Awakened to avoid all the hassle with a leveled character. <_<
sorry, double post
This journal supposed to explain this exact very thing:
http://thematrixonline.station.sony...mp;month=012006
Its all very detailed, but i cant check in game to make it easier to understand by visualising
the actual results, as it explains the "Despoiler" and in the next example it uses a level 20 value,
and my char is way far from this. Could you guys follow up just 1 example with a level
10 illustration, so Iwould be able to understand and see the mechanics of this?
I would really-really appreciate this.
Here I selected further reading, Ive read them, they helped a lot, but not so much in the main problem:

Deleted, because of suspicion of exploit.1. Is there any way to tell the gender of an item on the craftable items list, when it has green background? (why is it green anyway?)
2. Is there any benefit for higher coder abilities if I improved encryption or other useless lower ability from the same tree?(or I ask the above question generally about any ability trees)
3. is there any actual/practical need for keeping a shielded item set for an MA character, in the case of viral attacing mobs?
4. how do unequipped and LEVELLED abilty codes behave? for example if I receive an ability code levelled to 10/50, from my alt RSI, and I have a character at level 9, then I wont be able to use it? if I have a level 12, then I will be able to use it automatically as an ability levelled to 10? how does the system make preference, if i have the same ability with diferent levelled states, which one will be equipped if all can be use at the character's level, automatically the highest?
5. what are the selectable and useable desk phones for, in the offices? (you can use them, but there is no obvious result)
6. Where is the best to post list of patch ideas, glitches, recommendations for improvements? Is there an updated, comprehensive list of these that are known/posted, but still unfixed/unimplemented?
Additional questions:
7. What are the best Agent looking shoes and trousers? I can put up with the "black plain slacks" as it looks ok ,but its got horrible name, and maybe there is better than that, but the "lucien dress shoes" are not even really black, any help on this one please?
8.Is this true?

9.Is this true?
If you use the speed stance when you activate an ability in interlock, and wait for the number to turn red you can then switch to power tactics and the dmg boost (coming form the power stance) should be added, once the dmg text shows up in the system window, then yuo can switch back to speed stance and start again.
10.Is this true?
EDIT: for continuity
1. Is there any way to tell the gender of an item on the craftable items list, when it has green background? (why is it green anyway?)
I'm not 100% sure on this, bu I think if you hover the pointer over the item, the description should pop up and the item will have the gender-associated color background.
Edvin76 wrote:2. Do not level useless abilities (Encryption) beyond the maximum needed to acquire the next ab in the tree.
Shielded/Armored items tend to have more pts of resistance than their Enhanced counterparts. However, the trade-off is that all Enhanced items have mulitple resistance/bonus Attributes. So this choice is really a matter of personal preference. I think if you were going to tank against two specific classes, you could do so successfully using a combination of all Shielded or all Armored clothing.
Ability Attributes are tied to the level of your character. I don't think you can equip an Ab that is leveled higher than your character's current level. Also, if you do not level the ab to the max for your level, then you only get the benefit for the level that ability is at. You cannot equip (in the Ab tree) the same ability more than once. I think I have had instances where I've had an ability in my inventory that I've coded for a fac mate, and when I equipped that ability, it took the level 1 ab instead of my level 50. But I have never actively tested that.
Mission props, like the computers. Sometimes they are used in your mission, sometimes thwy aren't. Other than that, no purpose for them exists that I know of.
6. where is the best to post list of patch ideas, glitches, recommendations for improvements? Is there an updated, comprehensive list of these that are known/posted, but still unfixed/unimplemented?
I recommend a through search on the topic you want to propose. After five years, chances are, someone has already posted that idea or something very close to it. But, if you can't find anything on your idea, by all means post it. The appropriate forum for this is the Development Roundtable. Just be prepared for a slew of naysayers to shoot down your ideas. The most frequent objections are "no Devs/Animators/Investment". And, whatever you do, don't talk about swords, cars, motorcycles, or story-teller tools. All of those have been done to death and will, without a doubt, get you flamed mercilessly. Edvin76 wrote:Additional questions: 7. What are the best Agent looking shoes and trousers? I can't answer this one as well as some of the others. Mathalos had this look down to an artform, as did Sykin and HostileIntentions. But most Machinists could probably tell you.

You are correct about the debuffs acting the same way as buffs. [edited at OP's request]

This is correct, and has been hotly debated since the implementation of CR2.0 as to whether it's an exploit or not. I'm not sure, but I think 9mmfu (Dev) said on these forums that it was not an exploit, even though it was not officially part of the design.

EDIT: Ack! I'll try to ammend my responses to your additions.EDIT2: Now with re-corrected correctness!
1. The only way is to mouse-over it. It's terribly annoying, but you'll get used to it.
2. I always recommend that you don't level an ability until you get a bonus for it. If you look in your upgrades window, you'll see when you get bonuses. I wish I had an example offhand, but I'm sure someone else can come up with one.
3. Yes. I keep everything. The benefit to this game is that you are never locked to one ability tree. You can go to an archivist vendor and run a stat hack to change your base stats, and even if you don't you can still load any ability tree you want. Maybe you'll decide to try out area hacks (really helps when farming red frags), it's always good to keep that stuff. Also, it's nice to be able to provide that stuff for people who do need it, so I decomp it and keep it in code storage.
4. Exactly. If you have a 10/50, you can't use that ability until you are level 10. Honestly, if you have the same ability at different levelled states, I'd suggest getting rid of the lower one and just put your $info into the higher one. There's no benefit to having duplicate abilities. However, if you have two, and say one is at 2/50 and another is at 20/50, it will equip the one that your level can access. So if you're a level 10, the 2/50 ability will load.
5. They're really just there to complete mission objectives (if there are any direct objectives to be completed). For the most part, they do nothing and are actually pretty rare.
6. The Development Roundtable would be where you'd go to make development suggestions/fixes/etc. We just lost our lead developer though, so these things might be fixed at a much later date, or they very well may never be fixed.
7. Ah, the ever-requested Agent Shoes! We just came off of a holiday event, where you can get the Black Formal Shoes. Since this just finished, I'm sure people would be willing to sell their spares, but you're going to spend about 10-20 million per item.8. I'm not sure, but if it is, I'd think it would be considered a 'sploit.9. Yeah, this is true, but I'd bet that there's debate on this, too.10. Definitely a 'sploit if it's still doable.

Ok, thank you for the answers, but before I ask anything else (about your answers) if you want, please organise your numbering,
as this is the final order of my questions, I wont add anything to this set of questions anymore, I promise
Ok, I wont edit anymore, these are the final questions to your answers, please anyone feel free to join and try to explain them:
1. I see, good tip.
2. I gotcha ShiXinFeng, but i dont really understand your answer QuiDormit is the meaning of your answer any different, then ShiX's?
If yes, please explain "don't level an ability until you get a bonus for it" do you mean bonus as a higher abilty that getting to be available? Or if not, then how can I NOT level an ability, until I get a bonus for it? I thought to get anything form an ability, i DO need to level it.
3. EDIT: ok Gotcha. Just one question. What is an area hack?
4. - 5. Gotcha.
6. Although your general advices are really useful, my problem is with searching for my (patch) ideas on the forum is that I have 20-30 strong list, and Im not really keen on hunt for duplicates for all of it.
Thats why would be good a comprehensive "confirmed/accepted" by the community (for first rund) list about glitch/error/annoyance, and also another separate list of stuff, that the community deemed to be not worth to get onto the first list. With explanation why not, and for a place to further debate (or timed (like a year)voting) each item of the list of unaccepted ideas.
And both lists should be updated according to what has been actually impleneted/fixed. I reckon there are no such lists, howewer I do not see any point of the dev's roundtable without a minimum rationalisation/normalisation and without organising a process like this.
7. Ok, I set as an aim to get the "black formal shoes", but is that the only one pair of shoes to fit the bill (apart from the lucien's)?
And what about the trousers? Only the black plain slacks are there?
8-9-10. OK, I wont try these apart from number 9, lol
