Tattoo would be easy...just a flat bitmap image wrapped over the 3D model.
The hairstyles would be more difficult.  Those are actually separate models with textures/color.  Someone would have to fire up Maya and actually create new ones in 3D.

I played about with Maya a while back, I'm sure I could even whip up some once I got used to it all again.

Wouldn't be that hard to create these models really.  Game models are quite a lot lower in polygon count than 3D done for movies, print, or cartoons even.  It's a tricky balance between making something that still looks good (good textures help out there), and something that renders quickly in real-time by the game engine.  The less the engine has to render, the better your framerate.  (Hence why there's a piece of the game engine that recognizes when objects are behind other objects and doesn't render the "behind" objects in the Megacity).

I've worked with Maya in the past as well.  Sharp learning curve, but totally cool app.  Z-Brush is the stuff of dreams too, although I haven't had an opportunity to use that one yet.  I'm actually taking classes on the side right now for an 2-year degree in Art / 3D Graphics & Animation.  Fun stuff.

These kinds of messages don't help and aren't constructive. Neither are your other cryptic and depressing staements that have nothing to do with the threads you post them in.

Depressing? I speak the truth.

If they are depressing, the the truth is depressing - correct?
