IMO this is great. But i see it helping Hackers abit and hindering those *CENSORED* knife throwers.

But you shouldnt take it as helping hackers in any great way, just a leveling of the playing field to what it should have originaly been, so that hackers are no longer given an unfair disadvantage in almost every fight.

Still if its fixed to a 1 hyper at a time thing then im all for it.

If we cant have any 2 hypers active I would agree this would probably still be a better and fairer situation than we currently have.

Please. For the love of God. Please fix this.

Everyone has a defense against hacker (including hackers). Hackers only have a defense against one tree at a time (and other hackers). All the trees are pretty balanced. Except EVERYONE has the Hyper Deflect ab running all the time, with all kinds of Viral resistance/defense clothing available. It is real easy for, say, a Duelist to load HyperDeflect, a ton of Viral Resistance clothing, and pretty much ignore hackers in PvP. Or worse, go after us for the easy kill.

If it helps with the technicalities of balancing these Hyper abs, you can always make more Hacker attacks IL only (w/o IL penalties, of course). Then, hackers won't be so 'dangerous' in free fire. After that, it's easy to justify making the Hypers exclusive.

Best case scenario for defenses? Make each class defensible against itself. Transmit Virus ab gives increased Viral Defense; Martial Arts Expertise Ab gives increased Melee Defense; Firearms Expert ab gives increased Ballistic Defense; Spy Style ab gives increased Thrown Defense. Then, make the Hypers exclusive so that we have to adjust with each enemy we face.

Either that, or give us the ability to collect more than one stat hack at a time so we can restat on-demand. Because being a hacker sucks now that everyone understands how to load up on defense. With plenty of stat hacks at our command, we can change loadouts as often as we want, and keep the enemy guessing.

It's possible to fill up your inventory, then run the stat hack mission and collect your prize via email.  I do this before all the 01 wars, since I figure I'll be changing trees a lot during the course of the night.

I've used hacker alot lately, don't really need a boost. Its rather easy to kill people without it, going to be very very easy to kill them without hyper deflect.

I agree with this as well, get used to it people we were never meant to have 2 Hyper defenses active at the same time to begin with.

On topic:

Okay, the proposed offset for this change was the additional buffs to some of the patcher abilities. Okay, that's cool, I've used the new buffs and they're not half bad.

But!! They don't stack with the hyper-abs. At all. So, either you get the hyper of your choice, or you can go with the buffs that need to be refreshed every 5 minutes. And, of the 5 buff abilities that were changed, only two of them are usable at one time.

So. In other words, I am experiencing much less defense-wise, and generally getting killed faster as a result.

Any thoughts? AM I missing something? Should I conduct a focus-group study on changing clothes during pvp?
