So a funny thing happens today

So, I was in Datamine, well Datamining for Info and apparently the Datamine Construct has Agents that will spawn (not a DM spawn) and will hunt you down and keep hunting you down until, you either die, get out, or kill it. Anyways I had one spawn on me and I was trying my best to HJ away and get to a proxy. Well it got some good shots at me and I did get to a proxy, however soon after I tagged the proxy the agent killed me! So my dead RSI was actually transported from Datamine to Tabor Park! God that was the funniest thing I've ever seen, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

That nearly happened to me... but Master Shadow saves the day SMILEY

When they do spawn, activate MS and they 'lose' you then you can go where you want but the second that MS runs out, they will spawn right next to you again so yeah, its either die or leave.

Makes me wonder: If there are no bluepills, why are there agents? If we're allowed to mine data in Richland, around bluepills, why not in Datamine?

Maybe datamine was supposed to be a super-secret archive that we weren't supposed to find?

Anyway, I thought there were a couple of open buildings in the construct. Aren't those agents supposed to lose you if you go inside?

Some Agent spawns in Datamine behave like the ones that jump non-mechs in non-Richland areas, and some behave like the "seek and destroy" ones you get in restricted areas. The seek and destroy ones will chase you down until they kill you, and spawn right next to you the moment you stop moving - even in buildings.

Killing a 255 agent won't solve your problem. This was done under CR1.0 using various times and upon termination, 2 more agents will show up.

I always thought of data mining was stealing information out of the Matrix, and the Agents don't approve of that! SMILEY
