Hey all as was reported recently that some or many people get the "my connection is freaking out" message when they try to start an archive mission. Now most of these missions can be done anywhere while a few are district specific. However I need some help looking into this because they all start fine for my team and me. So I would like some specific information about what is happening around this problem.

  • Where were you? do a /whereami and distict?
  • What is your rep for all 3 orgs when it occured?
  • Which mission is giving you this problem?
  • Have you completed any mission previously during the current login?
  • Were you on a team previously?

And add anything else you might think will help to repro this problem. If nothing else I can visit live and give it a try.

Thanks all for the help.

This is affecting one of my alts.  I've tried it from a range of locations and in every district.  I always solo a normal mission first.  The alt has rep matching the org of the archive missions.  I'm up to somewhere in 1.2.x and 1.3.x
Hope this helps.

Hmm, I don't know if you've touched at it, but I was able to log on and run a series of Archive Missions perfectly smoothly last night.  Has anything changed in the last day or two that might have fixed it?

Edit: typo.

I think I sent a VERY DETAILED bug report once. You should check into those... then you'll have my story, because I don't feel like writing that all again.

i've tended to get this on quite a lot of the later merv crits and i tried everything from going to specific districts to running around with my pants on my head offering prayers to whatever gaming gods happened to be passing by at the time. without fail, the problem has cleared up after leaving my mission team then trying again.

i had the problem teh other day, i thougt it was down to too many people trying to start missions in the same area, so i moved to the other side of the map, but i still could not start them i didn't really think of it as a problem at the time, but i tried again the next day and they are fine.

here's some info might on where i was ETC..

  • Apollyon NW. then i moved to Camon Heights N,
  • i am @ +104 mero, and -127 mech/zion
  • The Merovingian 2.1 mission (on the last mission of that ticket)
  • Nope
  • Nope
Also when i tried it the next day it started no problem in Camon N so i do not believe it is HL/Area related, Could be wrong though..

I always run any sort of mission in the International district.  If the archive mission in particular is bugged, I leave team, go to Midian East and try again.  Unless the mission token is well and truly toast, this always works.

I've also done a regular mission from the Contact panel and then gone back to my Archives and it generally smoothens things out.

It happened on that day that the servers were all messing up. Hasn't happened since then.

right as far as i can work the problem happens when the mission is meant to happen in richland (for example today i had to take out a crossbone base to get the key for something) but i did it in internation and it just went all error on me, so i exited the game and reloaded with a diffrent one, just a basic arc no problem at all, so i quit and reloaded again and went back (i think its 4.3.2) ran it in interantion bingo problem sprung up, so i quit once again (poor pc was dieing at this point) went over to Richland no problem.

so from what i can concluded based on what other people have told me, if a Arc mission is area specific you have to be in that district for it to work other wise you just get the funky error code, all others work.

(sorry if this has been solved just posting it up before i forget)

Well this issue is with me is, I'll start a mission in International, say, and I get the freakout message.  If I hop over to Richland it will take at least a good 5-10 minutes for it to let me run the mission again.  It will eventually start, but waiting that long is annoying.

  • Max Zion. Minium Merv and Mech.
  • Which mission is giving you this problem?
  • Merv Archive 7.3.5
  • Have you completed any mission previously during the current login?
  • I try to reboot, relog, run other archive missions wich did work and i still could not make it work.
  • Were you on a team previously?
  • Done it solo and on team. First after 3 days it worked again.
