I just upgraded my drivers to the new nvidia drivers that went up on Oct 16th, and I notice alot of issues with my game now. Certain things obscure character names on screen for no reason, and my paperdoll as well as the 3d preview of items in my inventory are all screwed up.

Everything was fine before I installed the new drivers. I have a geforce 6800. Also the game seems a bit smoother now. I dunno if maybe Nvidia has AA on, would that cause this issue?

How do you handle anti-aliasing in game? Do you have it on or off? The last time my NVidia drivers did that was when I had NVidia preferences set to handle AA for MXO but had AA turned off via the in game options/useropts.cfg.

So to fix it, if that is the issue, you need to turn off the AA prefences in the NVidia control panel/profile and just use the in game options and useropts.cfg to control your AA for the game.

Chuui is on the money.

I had the same problem. There seems to be a z-buffering issue with MxO AA clashing with nVidia hardware AA. You also can see doors a mile away too as black squares (not so obvious with all the recent darkness)
