And I think I would restrict it to underground clubs anyway, since otherwise it's a bit tricky to manage their area of effect. So yeah, Messiah is probably a prime candidate for DT... Maybe the secret club...

For those who weren't paying attention:

"In the next update, Rarebit will probably place one on Polyvinyl dance floor in Vector, as a trial run. If it works out, he'll probably pick one or two clubs per district and place permanent Pacification Zones in them.  "

None of this is permanent yet, especially Polyvinyl. 

Well done Devs, but that guy who mentioned luggables was right.  What's gonna happen there?

The permanent ones would be in the same places on all servers.

I remember having a talk with Dracomet about luggables and Pacification Zones, and he's the guy writing the code for these things, so I think he has it handled, or will by the time they come out.

An awesome update.
As a RPer, I hope we will have the zones on Recursion. It will help us a lot for RP event, organizational meeting and hanging out (They are often ruined by flagged PvPers).

I agree. Maybe paralaxis? . A safe zone that close to mara c would definately start some new flaming. The idea is good, having safer places for rp and live events.

That may be true but on the same token what exactly is wrong with having a single club in each area declared and enforced as a nutrial zone? Sure people may use it as a safe point when being pursued by rival orgs but if the clubs selected when its permantly implimented are out of the way areas then the chances are that are rather low.

If the tests show that its abused, im sure then Rarebit will reserve this ability for multi org meeting events and the such to keep party crashers at bay.

I'm sorry, you must be from a parallel universe!
I was on a hostile server in one form or another for over a year. Suggesting that Vector is incapable of peaceful multi-org gatherings is absolutely spot on.
Sure some of the biggest *unpleasant person* have left/been banned since I went away, but there's always one joker who leaps in and starts a fight.
And it's common knowledge that the PvP server of any game always attracts the most immature idiots with a huge lack of restraint, Vector is no oddity to that - permanent fields have always been needed there, and will be a welcome addition.

Yes it is true, there are those immature players that must be dealt with in some fashion.
This idea seems to be favored by all, so perhaps we should wait for the test period and make our decisions then.

We've just returned from the "secret club" it is very impressive and would make an excellent choice. Please consider using it.

No we are not from a parallel universe, maybe our unique perspective stems from us not associating or interacting with such immature and disruptive players. We generally have a good time on Vector and are not abused by anyone. We have attended several gatherings at which we were the only ones from our org and are almost always treated with respect. Besides, we have seen methods of disruption that are FAR worse than just PvP.

It really comes down to maturity and respect for other players, if we as whole have to be neutered in order to act civilized then so be it.
