Hi all,
I need help against MS - I've read the other posts and they say it's to get away; however, I've seen a player use MS, attack us in Data Mine, and get this, ALL his attacks connect and NONE of our attacks or IL attempts succeed. What's unbelievable is that the evade appears never to go away.
How can a MS be stopped? On one of my encounters a MS showed up, attacked, evade never went away from what I saw, and no IL attempt was successful. Guys, there were 10 of us and one of them.
I don't mind getting killed when IL'ed with Raeder - It's PvP; however, when we focus on the MS, we should be able to take him down; against one, two or even three, BUT against 10 -c'mon!
I was told to get powerless/stun on them, but you can't because you can't connect to begin with - very, very, frustrating!
Can anyone provide input? Especially about attacking with evade up the whole time.
Thanks in advance
If you're determined to take him down get a hacker to load Buffer Overflow 2.0, that stops him from putting up MS altogether.

All hacks are designed to be mostly OOIL, infact you will notice that the debuffs all have to be applied OOIL and can't be cast inside, so shield on/off makes no difference.
Buffer overflow is good, but your better off having a hacker cast powerless = no ability can be used during that time, which means no MS, but no jumping away when they release they can't cast it.
You only ever need to take down a shield to execute IL attacks.
Little known fact, Master Shadow is a buff that is applied to the user, much like Hyper-Speed. Because of that trait, it uses up Buffer space. If you have a friend or if you're loaded for Hacker, load Buffer Overflow 2.0 and cast it on them after a root. No matter how hard they try, they will not be able to cast Master Shadow on themselves because their buffer is maxed.

Will a root take hold with shield up?
Read my reply above.
Roots can be applied at anytime, as well as slows, so decide which to use from the 2, because most roots break on damage, where slows do not. Again the shield up/down is of no concern when hacking from outside IL. IMO a slow or negative movement speed is better on a target after you hit buffer or powerless on them, that way you can hit them for some damage before IL. I've killed MS's in DM before as a solo hacker, use the right setup and tactics its easily done.

ok - bear with me because I'm new to this. That answer brings up another question - IF MS goes up, will same approach work? Cos the MS I'm referring to attacks and MS remains up and I'm told MS buff is supposed to go away when MS attacks.
If the MS activates the buff, then he becomes immune to all attacks. Remember he needs to be OOIL to activate it also.
Now for the question, if the MS does ANY attack then the buff will be removed, but he/she will be able to activate it back quickly, so you have to move fast if they attack.
While the buff is activate, you can't do anything to them, but they can heal or attack either. I personally would love for hackers to have an attack which has a small chance to remove the buff (i.e Delete upgrade), but sadly we don't have that.
