In the movies, the Animatrix, and in MxO all the events, battles, etc. takes place in MegaCity and apparently only MegaCity.  Does anyone else wonder why this is?  It's probably because it's the only area of The Matrix that the humans can broadcast their pirate signal into, but that also raises the question to why important programs such as The Oracle, The Architect, Keymaker, Merv. etc. are all in MegaCity.  I mean if the humans can broadcast their signal into this part of The Matrix and only this part, then this would be a bad place to put some of your most important programs.  Then again it can be another form of control, have the freed minds funnel into this one city in The Matrix, and that way you know who's been freed and who haven't.

Also, in The Matrix, agents call redpills by their bluepills name, like Agent Smith calls Neo Mr. Anderson, etc.  However, when Smith was trying to get into Morpheus mind in the original movie, he was called Morpheus.  I mean throughout all three movies and the games agents call redpills by their bluepills name, except for Morpheus.  They always referred to Morpheus as Morpheus.  Does that strike anyone else as odd?

Ok that enough ranting for now.  SMILEY

1. The theory is that MegaCity is where all the humans live. If you notice in the movies the city seems endless and the wilderness area is barren looking.

2.  Mainly because Morpheus was was freed at such a young age that that sort of pyhco tactic couldnt work on him. I mean the agents kept calling neo his blue pill name to try and trap his mind, make him doubt, etc.

But what if a bluepill wants to go on holiday somewhere? Maybe the machines put a false memory into their head of going on holiday so they think they left the megacity but didn't. Or maybe they delete that feeling of wanting to leave.

The reason Agent Smith called Morpheus by his handle could be because they don't know his name or Morpheus deleted it from records so the machines wouldn't find him.

1. I think its more of 600 years of living in the city and no one went out of the city kinda grew into humans. I mean where would you want to go to if everything around you was barren wasteland?

2. Got proof of Morpheus deleting his own past?

If you look closely you can see that Morpheus was apprehended in an airport in London I believe. Something along those lines. The rest of the world exist in The Matrix. All the events are centerd around MegaCity and mostly because that is where the source lies, and where the sublevel of The Matrix exist, in MegaCity.

I always assumed his name 'was' Morpheus, but then wouldn't they call him "Mr. Morpheus"?

Actually, I think we learned his real name somewhere in a criticals.
I can't remember it, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Morpheus.

Morpheus blue pill name is never given although some claim that it may be "Daniel". In "Enter the Matrix" when Niobe is at the airport calling all the captains informing them of the meeting coming up in reloaded one of the calls she makes is to "The Daniel institute of dream interpretation" that has a recording that sounds a lot like Morpheus on it. Also Morpheus is the God of dreams in Greek myth so his name being Daniel a man who interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar dreams in the bible would makes sense.

However this is only guess work and nothing is fact.

About Megacity:  Because every city functions the same way in the matrix.
About Smith and Morpheus: To put it simply, like many other issues in the Matrix, no one knows.

If Charlotte is so Great, why didn't the Machines nuke THEM?
