There has been another media release for the Highy anticipated BlackMesa: Source, Half Life 2 Mod. For those of you unfamilier with the project, BM:S is a tottaly rebuilt from the ground up version of the original Half Life PC game, but useing the Souce Engin and Half life 2 graphics.

Here is the link to thier website

But the real reason I started this thread was becasue IM SO EXCITED!!! There are many BM:S Community projects that the average joe can be a part of and contribute to the progress and making of this game. One of them was called "Photograph a Decal" Where the developers can alphamap a photograph you've taken and use it as detailing within the game itself. Well I was one of the top poeple to contibute and just found out some of my stuff will be used in the game. Thats so cool to me that a tiny little piece of me will now be a part of the Half Life Series forever!!! YAY!!!!

this is the link to my and many other poeples photos

here is the link to the thread where they explain how it works and where everyone posted thier photos

I always love a HL2 mod, never heard of this though >_>

I'm currently entwined in Zombie master. If you have HL2, I suggest this mod. It's in beta so it has it's bugs, but it has RTS elements when you're not a human.

I haven't really bothered with any HL2 mods. Except Garry's Mod, of course, which is really fun but I'm no good at it.

BM:S, though, I'm really looking forward to. I haven't checked it in a while 'cos I know it's taking ages to develop. SMILEY

Isnt Garry's Mod the one you build things using the Gravity gun?

Ooh, there are lots of tools to use. It's fun. SMILEY I've got no idea how, but people have built vast, functional robots out of debris and you can use scripts to create mini-games. The best sandbox game in history.

Garry's Mod FTW

I have Fort Wars on it, and just make a house with lots of Guns on it HAHA!

it is also cool to play maps such as de_dust2, using Half-Life guns!, Oh so much fun can be had on that game
