Combat Revision 2.0
Zion hardware experts have made substantial changes to the human/machine interfaces used while jacking in to the Matrix. Operatives have been asked to jack in using the new hardware and software to provide feedback for testing purposes.
RSI Attribute Respec Hacks Available
The RARH is now available on all Item vendors. Note: If you have copied a character over that has Stats over 30 (the new maximum), please respec your character for appropriate testing.
Featured Changes
- Old combat interface has been removed.
- Character Stats now have a larger impact on Abilities.
- Enhanced items that used to buff Stats now have different buffs (generally Ability Influences).
- Second hotbar has been added. (Note: Hotkeys are currently not available for the second hotbar.)
- Combat tactics are now in the Actions panel and can be used from the hotbar.
- Eight combat Styles have been added that give bonuses to using different types of Abilities.
- Melee Free Attacks can now be performed by selecting a combat Style in the Free Attack hotbar slot.
- Different weapon types now have different rates of fire.
- New combat animations have been added.
- Zero-sum combat has been removed. (Opponents can now both hit, both miss, or one hit and one miss during a round.)
- Interlock and Melee Free-Attack combat rounds are now on a four-second timer (Ranged Free-Attack timers are based on the rate-of-fire for the weapon class).
- Multi-on-One Interlock has been removed.
- Hyper-Dodge style effects have been added to normal Interlock combat.
- Opponents now always have a chance to hit or miss, no matter the level difference.
- Tactic vulnerabilities have been removed.
- Precise Blows and Energized Attacks have been removed. (Updated: 1/10 @ 4PM PST)
- Grab tactics no longer disrupt opponent buffs.
- Tactics are now always active and can be selected outside of combat, except for Block.
- Players and NPCs can no longer be Disarmed during Interlock combat.
- Movement keys (WASD) are no longer mapped to combat tactics. (Combat tactics now use their associated hotbar keys.)
- Medium-range Interlock has been removed.
- Players can now click a button to skip the Tutorial.
- Chance to interrupt Ability use has been adjusted.
- Withdrawing from Interlock is now a contested roll.
- All damage-causing attacks and Abilities are on a Damage Per Second model.
- Using an Ability now invokes the appropriate Style.
