The General is still playing games. What I don't understand is how this helps him achieve whatever goal has led him to kidnap Sati. They say that he simply wants to start a war, or bring the System down...but I can't help feel that he gets a kick out of this on a personal level--military Machine or not.
Personally, I am not too impressed by the General. His Xerxes-like approach at the Zion docks, coupled with his tactics of kidnapping and hit and run are not what I would expect to see in a machine-created warrior.
If I had to define a root purpose for a warrior, it would be to risk one's life in combat. Since one can only risk their life so many times before the inevitability of death occurs, you could further that defined purpose by also saying a warrior's purpose is to die in battle.
The fact that the General passes as an older program simply means that his time is due.
As for Ghost's supposition that the General is playing games for personal affectations....I would agree. Perhaps he has had too many dealings with the Merovingian, and his purpose has been corrupted, slightly. At any rate, it appears that the time for playing games is rapidly nearing its end.
The Generals forces were nothing short of awesome in magnitude and methinks that is but the tip of the iceberg but he needs to know how to deploy those resources most efficiently and thats where we come in...
when there's something strange down in zero one, who ya gonna call...

((I wish my screenies did this event justice but the real scale of the commandoe force was almost breathtaking in the stark environment of 01, reminded me of the Emperor's visit to the death star with 100+ commandoes - how many were there really - arranged in military fashion over one side of the constrict! Ghost was perilously close to death on several occasions and I'm pretty sure the General was suffering with attacks from his own men to begin heh.))
We had them on the run until we hit the highest point of Zero One and his strongest commando's were guarding him. As I said to Ghost, his power is getting stronger and we need a new strategy we were all lucky to make it out of their alive.

The clock has begun to tick, but I cant help but think the general, though not getting the war he planned for, has got war nonetheless. Thus, he regains some sort of purpose amidst the chaos. It is what he lives for. The Merovingian has played a quiet part recently, lets hope it stays that way. So we can continue to work in bringing this threat down. Efficiently, - P
From what I remember, the General only started calling it a training excercise after he was down to minimum health. He's an *CENSORED*, Ghost.
My real concern now is Soluma, she seemed to have completely broken down by the end of it. he even wrapped herself into a little ball near the outpost. What is her condition?
And General, if you are listening. You wanted a war, well, here we are? may you live long enough to regret it
