I need some help here...

I am using a 56k modem which connects at 28k speeds, and last night I set it up to download and it got stuck on a file called resmap.itb I
believe thats what it was called... Now its not like it locked up, its
just that I experience drops in my connection every 4 hours (**bleep**
University dial-up...but hey its free ) THis means that if the file it was updating hasn't finished, it restarts updating the file from the beginning...

(eg. If I download 20MBs od 22MBs and the connection drops, I will have to redownload all the other 20MBs I just downloaded)

Anyways, I was wondering the size of the file and if its possible to
put it into a zipped file so I can at least resume the download when my
connection drops. I only need to get another 200MBs of updates before I
can start playing and unfortunatly it is using my free 30 Days ... SO
HELP ME PLEASE!!! Anyway to update the game without using my time???

Haha... I love the Matrix everything and would love to play this MMORPG
(even though I have heard bad things about it, I must say that I have
met alot more players who have PLAYED the game and love it!!!)

Unfortunately the only way to get the files is to update
them through the patcher unless you can install the game on someone
elses computer with broadband and download it and then copy the game
accross using a dvd or multiple cd's.

The game shouldn't start patching from the beginning, only from the
file it lost the connection on I believe, whether that makes it any
better for you or not I don't know.

Your correct jeffers, thats what I liked about MMOs when I was on dialup...when you got the file you dident have to re-download it SMILEY

Most Uni dail-up services I know of disconnect after an hour or so.... Idle or not.

You might wanna keep an eye on that to see how long it takes to stop.
