I actually had this exact same thought while rewatching the trilogy last week.

SOE:   Why, MxO Player? Why do you do it?  Why jack in?  Why keep subscribing?  Do you believe you're fighting for something?  For more than your relief of boredom?  Can you tell me what it is?  Do you even know?  Is it content?  Or development?  Perhaps a Producer's Letter?  Yes?  No?  Could it be for love of the franchise?  Illusions, MxO Player.  Vagaries of perception.  The temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify a game that is without meaning or purpose.  And all of them as artificial as the Matrix Online itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love for MxO.  You must be able to see it, MxO Player.  You must know it by now.  You can't win.  It's pointless to keep fighting.  Why, MxO Player?  Why?  Why do you persist?
