[ URL open failed ] HELP plz :(

Hi, my friend bought and installed mxo yesterday, he updated, and played, when he started mxo today he got this:

http://www.immolate.nl/files/keanu/kut.jpg Does anyone know what the problem is? I visited http://patch.station.sony.com:7000 which said it was succesful. but if my mate connectes, it just says connecting in the status bar. Thanks.

Does your friend have a router or a firewall?

If he has a router try restarting it (mine sometimes blocks random websites for whatever reason due to automatic rules), but if he has a firewall, tell him to check his settings to make sure that connections are allowed on all ports.

If he does have a router, he should make sure these ports are open if resetting does not work:

Also, Internet Explorer must not be set to Work Offline. This is available from the File menu in Internet Explorer itself. Finally, Launcher.exe and Matrix.exe need to have full access to the Internet through the firewall. These programs are both in the MxO directory (usually C:\Program Files\Monolith Productions\The Matrix Online).

Ive not tried to update the game since about October. Has the patch server changed or something?

Yup, disabled my firewall and still nada.

IE is definately not working offline... hmmm.

What firewall do you use? Try turning it ON, but forcing Launcher.exe and Matrix.exe as Full Access tothe Internet in the firewall configuration options. Also, make sure you either open your router, or configure it for MxO. Could we get that excellet link for the MxO ports back, and I'll sticky it please?
