As much as i appreciate the discussions about the hacker tree, and as much as i respect the opinions of those involved in the debate; ie: to "nerf" or not to "nerf"....

(I wonder if any other section has such a small amount of relevant content)

I would very much like to see some opinions about this widely used tree..

Is there anyone out there who has not utilized it's advantages?

personally, as a lvl 37 MA, working towards KungFu Grandmaster, I found it impossible to be helpful in constructs... I mean how many people in Sakura don't have "Arbalist" under there name? (yes i know there are some out there; it's an intended exaggeration to make a point)..

SO, as a person who enjoys not only the construct boss work, but also the pvp that isn't me and twentysix lvl50's (yes I still get my @ss handed to me, but atleast it takes a minute to get there), I decided that it would be worth my while to invest in the tree that looks as though i couldn't live without..

So, just as i thought after spending a little bit of time and effort I got myself into selective phage and although this isn't arbalist it does let me "hit" the boss instead of getting "hit" or just "blocking"..

I have not had much luck finding good VT clothing... is there a large array of these pieces out there?

Is there a point were i can stop building the hacker tree (as an MA i don't want to spend everything on this tree, since it is more of a support, is there a point were i can lvl the abilities i have without the need to continue down the line?

Can any of you give advise as to how you deal with being attacked by these guys?

Does anyone know were the best hacker vendors are..( I keep looking but I am not having much luck, I would assume that DownTown would have many hacker vendors but, as you all know, DownTown isn't what it used to be....?

Personally I'd say go allthe way up to logic barrage 4.0, and stop there.

Hacker vendors ... Give me a tell in game and I can code you up any ability you nee SMILEY

Clothing theres a pair of +20VT +200 health pants, and a +40VT shirt. Again, if you'd like a pair give me a tell.

Dealing with hackers - Max out your VD. Sakura Bandana is good for that, as are some low level hacker abilities.

im stuck in the mud JUST like u, i am heading down kung fu @ lvl 35
currently and dont have the foggiest idea how to do anything against
hackers, and its pissing me off. people say max ur VD, that is fair
enough, but if im an MA how the hell am i sposed to do that? and NOW i
discover that you have to be a fr1kk1n aikido master to gain Zen Master
tree!!! WHAT THE HELL?? but anyways i will carry on playing and maybe 1
day they will reduce stun timer and nerf the hacker tree slightly (if u
compare the damage possible @ each lvl between hackers and the other 2
trees they are way out of proportion too)

It's funny, i stopped even checking this post because no-one (accept the obvious, previous reply) was putting their two cents in on this one...

but then another comes along....

well I'm now a level 45 and have consistently leveled my hacker tree to my level....I have kept um my KungFu, but i almost never use it.. I only need one Ab' then the almighty "KungFu GrandMaster" and i'll have it done....

I tell you what tho' the hacker tree is interesting....I havent done any other MA branch (as i said I do KungFu) so i dont know if its the same or not (i would assume that at some level it is) but the small details of the hacker tree make it, some how, ingaging...

BUT THE BIG THING IS.... that i got into the hacker tree to make a differance in the constructs, but now there is never anyone there....i don't know if this is due to the new "arc" missions, or the change in the bosses deflection ability, but it kinda sux....

There is no point in being anything except hacker between levels 24 and 45 - you are simply overpowered. Outside of that the line is blurred and i would rather be MA or rifles or duelist... anything else really

Maybe we should put in a petition to get rid of all non hacker
abilities ... or make operatives like hackers like instead of
machinegun punch or whatever it would be ddos attack and they send
packets at the enemy instead of fists.
