Seems to be within the level 30-40 range that a bug crops up with evade combat. It's basically impossible to avoid. Turn on your evade shield, when on block, if your opponent tries to hit your evade it takes up to 4-5 hits before it's taken down on grab tactis.

In a standard 50v50 combat, it should take no more than 2-3 hits on grab to expose someones shield. However, as you can see, it takes 4.

System logs:

However, with speed tactics it takes the standard amount of time that it should.

I don't think it's that exactly.

We all know that higher level people can break the shields of lower level people/NPC's very quickly. But there comes a stage where you're ability to break their shield is so overwhelmingly greater than their ability to resist it that it somehow screws up and means that each attack on the shield has little to no effect on their shield strength. The reason speed was working was it lowered the effectiveness of my attempts to break your shield and brought it below the "Threshold" for this bug to occur.

I noticed this cropping up on occasion when powerlevelling people and fighting low level mission NPC's, some of them even on speed your break evade is so strong that you can't bust their shield.

That happened to me on recursion yesterday. My at is lvl 37 and a lvl 50 spy couldn't take down the shield in 3 tries and it was still full green.

But remember, I had died and came back and through up the shield again. Doing the exact same thing as before, but speed broke it in two, instead of the previous attempt with grab before i was killed.

Thats kinda my point. When on grab my force combat was so overwhelmingly greater than your combat evasion that it bugged and each attempt did little to nothing at all to your shield. When on speed I took a -20% to force combat, this dropped it below the "threshold" (My force combat wasn't high enough for it to bug) in which the bug occurs and allowed me to break it in 2 hits.
