The helmet needs a mouthpiece. It's just plain ugly without it. It makes you look like a Crusher.

Hey! Idea! Make the mouthpiece/helmet combo available as an Event reward, with double the initial buffs.

That, or/and make the mouth piece available without the helmet as a different hat item, adding to the Commando quest.

I have always thought there should be a shirt that comes half way up the face so we too can cover our faces but as that isn't possible, I like the mouthpiece idea, I cant think of anything else as the helmet is so darn ugly SMILEY

Mabey a bandana in the texture of the rubber ribbed condom for a Dana/Helmet Headgear?  And female could have the face mask/helmet headgear.

I think females should get a facemask anyway, although I'm sure it was excluded just to keep people from complaining.

A bandana is a good idea, but it might look weird. I wish the game could just change the shape of your head or something so the male head could be covered, even if it looked a little weird.

they should do something to cover the face while wearing elite commando gear. I think an easy solution would be to make it so that if your wearing every piece of commando gear you get an ability grant that puts on an elite commando disguise.

Rarebit has stated that he originally tried to include the bottom portion of the Commando Headgear in the original design, but was unable to make it work because of some kind of compatibility issue with different heads or something along those lines. The only way around this that I see is to change the skin tone of the player entirely black while the equipment is on.

The commando gear looks silly anyway. Only superhero's wear tights in public.
I like the helmet as it is now, especially when Havo wears it. He looks like a clown with his red facial painting. ^_^

if they were to tie in an ability disguise grant (like a halloween mask grant) while wearing the full suit, it would override the appearance of your RSI, only question would be of having male/female appearance.

That would farce all Body 1 and Body 3 types of Male to Body Size 2.

Would still be better than nothing.

I mean we know there's issues with the character models that prohibit you from being able to have the face mask bit, so that means the easiest way to make someone look from head to toe like an elite commando is to override the look of their RSI in the form of a disguise. And providing that you only get the ability grant for wearing every piece of the commando gear, only issue with clothing stacking you'd have to worry about is a persons shirt which isnt much. And in addition to that, if you lose the ability as soon as you unequip a piece of the gear you lose your disguise, you wont have any issues with people putting it on for the disguise, then changing all their clothing and stacking under the disguise.

All around I think its probably the easiest way we'll be able to get the face mask bit is to override physical appearance of your RSI.

It sounds good in theory, as long as all of the items are needed for the disguise to be operational. I'm not sure how hard it would be to allow a Halloween Disguise-esque type thing to work, contingent on having all of these items on though. I could see it being easy to link to one item since it's been done before in CR1 with items like the coat that granted sneak, but any more would probably take a serious chunk of time up that could be invested in something else that would have twice the yield, even if it's recycled content in some way..

Maybe someone could throw in an Elite Commando disguise as a consolation prize?

Maybe each seperate clothing item would have one Commando point (like a Ballistic Damage point), and when the Commando Points tally up to a certain number (in this case, 6 commando points), the disguise would automatically be activated, or an Awakened Ability that's permanently available would be able to be used.

Awakened --> Commando Suit
Minimum Level 50
Requires: 6 Commando Points

Applies the final mouth piece, and maybe an extra buff for having all the clothes on. ^.^

Obviously there would be the issue of forcing foreign body types down to two, but, hey, you look like an Elite Commando, mouth piece included. Vwoot.

I already thought about having an ability grant just tied to one piece. And while that would be fine in my book, for thoes who love to cry about clothing stacking, they're gonna whine about people being able to put on the disguise and then change their clothing under the disguise with out anyone knowing.

So for the reason of making it so there's as minimal opportunity for clothing stacking, the ideal way would be that you only get the ability grant if your wearing every piece of the gear.
