% Bonuses on self buffs (stances, hyper abilities) do not change when you take those buffs off!

Long title, I know, but this is a big, nasty bug.

Ever since CR2 im sure we've all noticed how you can re-stance yourself and your CT and other stats will change....why?

Here is a pic of me activating Hyper Block for MDT with a very large amount of Melee Defense Bonus %.




Take special note of the areas in red.


Now watch as I lower my Melee Defense Bonus % , which should lower the amount that Hyper Block adds to my defense. This is the area that is bugged. This applies for any stat. Therefore, you could put on lots of Bonus% clothes, activate Hyper Block to get several more Defense points, then switch to other Bonus % clothes, such as Damage, and go pvp.

Again, take note of the areas in red. Notice how my Bonus % buff is lowered greatly, but the HB buff stays the same. It should always take note of the buff, whether you get a downgrade, change clothes, or stances. This has a huge affect on PvP.







This is most likely considered an EXPLOIT, so do not use this against other players. Hopefully we can get this fixed in the next patch.

So can u activate this and get higher and higher bonuses or does it work with the last bonus only?
Needs fixing. Thats why I lose to ppl (hm hm if I lose).

First off Hyper Block is pts to Melee Defense, not Melee defense bonus as depicted in your screen shots. Turning on and off Hyper Block would never affect your Melee Defense Bonus in the status panel.

Secondly you have your buff bar covered in the second screen shot so I can't tell how you manuipulated the buffs inorder to get the result you are trying to describe. If you dont want to show the public what you did you can just pm me the steps to reproduce the issue.

NoRepro I reported this to you in person in QA and on these forums and you said it was a known issue. I dropped it because I figured you didn't think it was important enough but obviously nobody even remembers the mention of it...

Yeah I have heard about this bug still being in game over and over again... We are all human and things slip by us all from time to time...  However now it is time to take action guys.  I imagine that's how... Well nevermind

1. Load abilities such as Aikido or Kung Fu that give you a Melee Defense Bonus

2. Activate Hyper Block

3. Notice the large amount of +Melee Defense points it gives.

4. Unload all abilities except hyperblock, watch as your Melee Defense Bonus influence goes down, yet HyperBlock still buffs the same amount of +Melee Defense points.

The stacking of passive abilities to make a buff stronger then unloading those abilities then loading your normal load out but your buff not decreasing "on the fly" is at this time By Design.

I cant believe it and i hope " by time " means that its gonna get fixed soon.

The problem is that its not only working with abilities increasing the %value (I think %values are called influences), it works with clothes as well.

So if you activate a buff like one of the hyper thingys, be sure to load all abilities increasing the appropriate influence and get some clothes buffing the same influences. This way you can max every buff´s effect.
And its working with the Grand Master buffs and all the other topic buffs, too.

Repeat this procedure with every buff. For sure, it´ll take some time, but you will have better stats than all the others.
And if you are into macros, even better...

btw.:
What about the other way around. If you increase your influence while the buff is already activated? Will it increase as well, or will it stay on the same level?
E.g. DE. DE drains all influences by 15% and it fades over 5 mins. So after 5 mins the DE effect is gone, but your buffs arent on normal levels yet, because they are calculated with values, which had the DE-downgrad. You´ll have to reactivate all buffs after DE faded?
And if so, whats the fading effect about? I dont care if it fades over time, because i cant refresh my buffs every half minute to get the advantage of this fading at all....

The buffs need to refresh their calculation everytime an influence changes. It cant be to hard to implement, coz i think it was working be4 CR2.0. (Dont get me wrong CR2.0 > old system SMILEY)

I just dont want to spend half an hour to get my buffs set.
And I know there are dudes around, who dont have something better to do than to optimize this **bleep** and due to "the design" they will have the better stats. I can imagine a scenario in which this "bug" is determining.

Please fix it. Thank you for your attention.

I´m already afraid of our 1337-factions and their "I have teh skillz and you dont know how to play"-trash talking.

To the second part no the buff must be recast inorder for it to be updated.

The end point is Buffs dont dynamically update.

if this is a concern for anyone just hold shift, and rite click on the buff icon below your hotbar to cancel it, then restart the buff. when you 'redo' something itll update the points and percentages. all norepro is saying is that the bonus page in general doesnt update in realtime. i came across this a while ago while fiddling with various clothing with hacker buffs on them, and figured it was just another bug. its not a big deal. most ppl STILL dont know what theyre doing yet anyway =D

YES!!!! It should be this way. Well im not sure with the passive abilities, but definitely with the clothes. Please look again at what you wrote in this thread  then  :
