Its the same for every MMO. Cant release anything until day before or hours into the patching process for the said MMO.. Giving spoilers of something to be easily forgotten like the images which are shown then could be another chapter in time is mostly what this is all about.

Could be until after the last critical this go around will we all see what the bridge work in process is. When the next chapter is out.

If thats not honest enough for ya then shoot my years being on MMO's and seeing how Sony does crap is not good anymore...

TBH, it's somewhat of a marketing tactic.  If they told us exactly what it was and some people hated the idea, they might not even want to stay to see it in the game.  If they do what they're doing now, people will become enticed and want to see what it will be.

I'm not saying it's what every MMO does, but with a small one like MxO, it would make perfect sense from a business point of view.  We all know MxO isn't exactly SOE's top priority.

But at the same time, allowing everyone to guess what it means and building lots of hype then the patch may not be able to live up the the hype everyone builds.  Its finding a balance.
