Now, for those of you wondering, no, I did not name my ship after an '80's pop band.

Wing Chun is a Kung Fu style created 300 years ago by a buddhist nun who escaped the destruction of the Shaolin Temple. She hid out in a small province and became freindly with small family that include a pretty young girl named Yim Wing Chun. Yim was just about to turn marrying age, and a local bandit threatened Yim's family for her hand in marriage. The bandit would be back in a few months, and when he did return, he expected Yim to accept his proposal. The Buddhist nun decided she would teach a new style of Kung Fu to Yim so that she could defend herself from the bandit. As the months went on, Yim trained dilligently with the nun. When the bandit returned for an answer to his proposal, what he got instead was a challenge to a fight. Naturally, the larger, stronger bandit found the challenge hilarious and accepted. As you can probably guess, frail little Yim completely thrashed the larger, stronger bandit. This form of Kung Fu, which involves lightning-fast hand strikes is still being practiced today.

What does this have to do with us? EPN is under constant attack by those that brand us as terrorists. Anyone who takes any time to look at the facts will know that is not what EPN really stands for. But because of being tagged as terrorists, we are always running up against larger, stronger forces. About 300 years ago, one frail young woman proved that it is possible to stand up to a larger, stronger foe. If you decide to join us, you will not find a more loyal crew anywhere. If you decide to not join my crew, than at least consider one of the other EPN affiliated factions. EPN is about choice. We will respect any choice you make.
