Indeed, operative.

Perhaps the shine of something new has faded only to reveal a cancer.

New and shiny doesn't always mean good, unfortunately.

I'm getting so sick of bad decision after bad decision being made with this game.  The idea of removing live events from THIS game should be recognized as a BAD DECISION.  Especially since we have been on a steady decline ever since we lost the Live Events Team.  Everytime there's a blow to Live Events, we lose more players.  Why is development not realizing this?  Why are there some players who THANK AND APPRECIATE such poor decisions being made?  I just don't get it.

There's a push to try to make the game more attractive to newer players while the veterns and diehards get pee'd on.

This game is four years of my life.  I hate seeing it fail due to bad management.

Well, I think they see that a detriment to live events is a detriment to the community, but I question(in hindsight) whether the live event model was sustainable with the resources the Rare has at this point. Watching this whole thing from a distance, it seems as if it was a reluctant move, but hey... the damage is done at this point.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I was a supporter of the new change once but that was before I watched friend after friend unsub and leave.  Now it pains me to see MxO as it is.  It is now a shell and not one that can be traded for some snazzy item.

But it's not likely that you'd be able to come back any later too though...
