I've decided to except that you're not going to say anything to us about the future of the game. So now I'm just asking you to TELL me that you CAN'T say anything. just say; I'd like to tell you something, but I'm not allowed. You're job is community relation, the community is upset. RELATE. Even if you can't say anything. Just TELL us you can't say anything.

hey, its good they are leaving stuff alone.. look at what the red names are doing to SWG... do you want mxo to go down the same road? i'd prefer the devs to leave a game untouched then trying to improve and epic failing misreabley each time ^^

I don't think Virrago has made any statement and that he isn't allowed to divulge any information even if he theoretically had such knowledge. The last thing I remember hearing about the state of the game was from Walrus at the Anniversary party where he said to the effect that the Matrix online was being put on maintenance mode while Sony investigated what they could do for us.
Even if Sony was willing to hire one or two people to do stuff for us they would have to be trained and instructed on how to manipulate the game system. One of the most common things Rarebit told us was that the coding of the game was unnecessarily made complicated to the point where he was afraid of doing anything too big because it might crash the system and cause an early Matrix flavored Apocalypse.
To my knowledge Virrago's job is to moderate the forum and pass on knowledge as he sees fit. The stuff like the photo contests, operative of the week and him occasional popping in to say hey and to send level 80 ninjas to kill us is just something he does for fun so we aren't left by ourselves.
Rarebit wasn't a programmer and was originally hired just to write mission scenarios. Eventually the entire Matrix story and development fell into his lap. He made alot of decisions that polarized vocal members of the community and if we did get someone new...odds are it would have the same effect.
But...for now we at least have a game and if people continue calling and sending emails I'm sure eventually someone will either crack or get fed up and just let us know something.
I love the Matrix Online and spent the better part of three and a half years of my life here...and would be quite happy to spend another three if support could be given.
*sigh* I hate waiting games though. =)
Maybe someone should make a sticky about this and include what information we have been given about the game? That way it might help curtail some of the same threads being made over and over.

I'd prefer MxO to go down some road rather than none. Right now we're parked firmly in Mobil Avenue.

"Oh, no, no, no. You're gonna stay right here until SOE says different... If I know them, you're gonna be here for a long, long time."
