I just got the game and wasn't sure if my graphics card would work with it. When I try to create a character I get an error message saying my graphics card isn't supported and the game may not work properly. The game loads up with this error message/mouse icon on top of it there and it remains there until it gets the the point where I should have control. Well this message ends up freezing up my mouse and I can't do anything. I can't even find out if my graphics card is good enough to play the game because the stupid message won't let me create a character.

Try running the game in windowed mode.

Go to the MxO Directory (default C:\program files\monolith productions\the matrix online) and open up the options.cfg file in notepad and search for the line Windowed = 0 and change it to Windowed = 1.

If you can't find Windowed = 0 then just add Windowed = 1 at the botttom of the file.

That should allow you to run the game.

YAY! I love you... it worked. Now I have another question though. Now that it's in windowed mode, is there a way to get it to fit to my screen? If I set my desktop res to 800x600 the game takes up most of the screen but the game window cuts off part of the bottom of what should be displayed in game. If I set it to 1024x768 I can see the whole game but the window its played in is somewhat small. Any way for a perfect fit? Either way at least I can play the game now. Thank you.

When you've created your character and gone through the tutorial and finally enter the game world, there will be a button in the bottom right hand corner.

Press that button, then press options and you'll be able to chnge the screen resolution.

I'd give you the keyboard shortcut but I can never remember what it is. SMILEY
