I think it's doable.

As far as Cast goes I would go with unknowns largely. It may be possible to cast some of the actors/actresses from the films into the TV series. Story-Wachowski's, Cast-Unknowns and any possible return performances.

Oracle-Mary Alice.

Architect-Helmut Bakaitis.

Dues Ex Machina-Kevin Michael Richardson.

Seraph-Collin Chou.

Sparks-Lachy Hulme.

Trainman-Bruce Spence.

I'm going mostly with characters that represented non human roles in the films. At this point I have to stop though as I don't really know what things were like at the start of the first Matrix right after the war. I don't really see a need to have these programs age as I don't believe they do physically. I don't know what characters were around (total anyway) or born in the first iteration. Were the humans born in the pods the exact same people every iteration until now? Are there 5 versions of everyone including us for that matter? (I've pondered that question from time to time). Who built the first Zion?

I'd plan the series for a 6 year run total. Each year would represent each iteration starting after the war and the first iteration and would end in the 5th season with Morpheus and crew making preparations and heading to broadcast depth to contact Neo. If the series is successful major players may reprise their parts for a few scenes like the last one for season 6. Each episode would also have adds for the films, Animatrix and MxO baby yeah! I also think that a younger audience would be attracted easily with a younger cast-young Morpheus etc. I would also try to make things just a tad (a very small tad) less cryptic. You would still have to pay attention and think. This approach has worked in two very successful TV series recently, Lost and Heroes.

If none of this could possibily be doable...I'd animate it. Not for kids too. Same deal for advertising thoughSMILEY. No Bruce Timm either...uh ah no way...forget it. No seriously, forget it. I'd bring back the Matrix cell phones too. Toy line for sure, Simulation and Desert of the Real lines. Paul Chadwick would be in there too of course. Crapload of people see the ad for MxO and their chance at continuing the story first hand. Boatload of new subscriptions and BAM! MxO finally realizes its true potential...SMILEY

Watcha, watcha, watcha think ah watcha think?

I know, I'm totally outta my mind...

I hope alotta you guys read this as I'm intersted in your thoughts...I mean it couldn't turn out any worse than say, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin or Catwoman could it? Even those pieces of crap made money. If done right I think a TV series could be an excellent left side bookend to the films and games while continuing the story after the films ended right here.

I have no idea who could play me or any of the people who have chosen to come with me, (Notice I didn't say "follow" me).

I am likely biased in my opinion about my character but I'll just say it.  I think my character and those who've come with me would be great fun to write into the Matrix story because we are a tri-org and our aims are somewhat different from others.  This could get us and others in a lot of trouble and shake things up for the better and make things worse at times as well.  In truth we would likely wind up being a sub plot that tore attenion from the main story not unlike Cyph's and EPN.

Doing this series could also potentially make those out there that didn't understand the second and third film fill in the blanks.  They really need to be offered the redpill a second time around I think.  Two words should be written into the series dialogue throughout...Pay attention.

The major plot points should be written by the Wachowski's though for sure.  The drawing and staying power would hinge on that and the fleshing out of the story done by people the Wachowski's select like Paul Chadwick for example.  Once the concrete is mixed for this the cast is next.  Then special effects cap everything off.

I would love to have a Matrix TV character based off of me. I always love the comic relief in a drama.

I think its too early to think about additional Matrix material.  I say lets revisit it in a decade or so.  The Matrix trilogy needs more time to seep into our cultural history and aquire a sense of nostalgia for it.

This is why the Terminator series works for me, discounting the third movie, One and two were made in 1984 and 1990 respectively, enough time to percolate in our collective memory and then take a fresh, 2008 take on the mythos, introducing it to a whole new generation.

In fact after I saw Revolutions in the theater way back in 2003, at the very end, I felt it waas set up for the W Bros to revisit this at a much later date, like 10 or 15 years, with little Sati all growed up.

Distance makes the heart grow fonder, as they say.  Now is not the time.  In the meantime we have our own little clique here that few people know about (the silver lining of this game's small population).

This is exactly how i felt after the third movie. I've always figured that MxO would kind of serve as a set up for further exploration... but, who knows?

As fas as a TV show, I've thought there should be one for quite some time. I'm thinking like an HBO quality series to, not some dinky Sci-fi channel gunk (OMG how they murdered Dune >.<SMILEY. And I'd have to vote for a more random episodes approach. I think a "making of Morpheus" chronicle would get old quick. I would want to see episodes devoted to lots of the various charcters of the Movies. One of the things I found lacking in the second and third films was that we had a huge number of new characters introduced, but not enough screen time for any of them to be sufficiently developed.

Lastly, If HBO wouldn't go for it, and they couldn't get decent production values, I'd be just as happy to see it turned into an animated series. and whether the public would buy it is all a matter of how GOOD it is. Lets face it, lots of people went to SEE the films, even if many of them ended up a little dissapointed by the later ones.
