hmmm, it has MXO listed.

But not in the pretty pictures at the top. SMILEY<img src=" />

I'm sure it has something to do with getting images approved by WBIE to use on our site.

Urgh, I hate legalities. Can't SOE just ask WBIE for permission to use a set few images in any way they like? A one-time grant, so they don't have to spend months going to and fro. The current arrangement is costly for both sides, and doesn't do the players any good either.

That would be too logical for the bureaucrats.

In case who changes their mind?

SOE.

Mind sets back to one that was due to be held in Europe. People had booked their tickets and flights, then SOE ddecided not to have the fanfaire or something, alot of people couldnt refund tickets and such for flights.

Yeah, wasn't a fan faire. It was a seperate event. Said that a few times >_>

Last year the flight prices for us were up in the £660's. I'm fairly tempted to book a flight right now, to be honest. I don't see them falling much further as they were up around £660 fairly recently around these dates.

Nothing is simple when Lawyers are involved SMILEY

Yeah, this has been discussed before and it basically boils down to the fact that for EVERY picture of any "Matrix Franchised character" (which is any character from the films or storyline now) has to be cleared through WB. So in fact it's not SOE's fault as they'd like nothing better but to show it off but WB are stubborn. The only thing that SOE can use freely is "The Matrix Online" logo (in one of its various forms) as that's strictly the game title which SOE now has the rights for and can use on any SOE material.

welll to be more clear shadow said that soe can do as they wish with the logo, but unless im reading that wrong it still belongs to wb so anything that included it has to be ran past them first before they can use it.

I was Kinda shortening it down, as law is boring SMILEY

I'm not saying that SOE can do what they want with it as such, more that they can more or less (to which there are exceptions) have various MxO art on their sites. As I don't know exact specifics on all the details (obviously) I'm more speculating than anything else, yet you'll find that anytime SOE does some sort of "major" (using a general term like this NEVER happens in law) public advertising release (be that for events like this, the email publications and normally on the SOE sites) MxO has to take more of a back seat as for prominent advertising (like your lovely poster) WB have to be asked for permission.

That kinda runs on from the fact that the MxO logo is only a carry-on from the main Matrix logo, so naturally WB would do a "*CENSORED* are you putting that there without asking us?!" sort of thing if SOE did anything else. What's more of a random area is character screens and video and such, which I can't be bothered going into, as that's been done elsewhere.

Put simply, law is a *CENSORED*. For a public event like Fanfaire, SOE can use the MxO logo, as it's going to be a game at the event, yet I think if say they tried to sell the event on the fact that MxO was going to be the main game at the event, they'd have more issues...

law is never fun.

never.

ever.

The above code is a Ticker I created from tickerfactory for our own Ticker with a White Rabbit marker and It links to the SOE Mxo Boards.

Hope it works as I can't see it from work.  Below is the Original HTML code for the ticker:

It's on like Donkey Kong.   Thanks to the August dates I'll be bringing 1 or 2 faction mates with me there.  And like Gerik, if I know you well enough we can probably work something out with rooming together.

After I heard that Las Vegas was reusing dirty needles in thier hospitals , I totally got turned off from the idea of ever going to Las Vegas. Hopefully, next year it will be someplace better with no real life DOT's goin on.

If you plan on going to a clinic that shoves cameras on tubes up your bum then by all means don't come.

It was at an Endoscopy clinic, and it was at clinics owned by 3 doctors and ONLY their clinics.

Las Vegas has some of the best hopitals and clinics in the world and the fact that 3 doctors are idiots doesnt change the fact.
