The stats I want for cr 2.0 are not attainable due to the archetype I currently have. I realize this may be impossible, but I also realize it doesn't hurt to ask. Is there a way to reset/chance our archetypes?

I had to redo a character from scratch on the live server almost a year ago for the same reason and I really can't stress enough how much I DO NOT want to regrind another 50 with stats to my liking. I hope others will join me in this request.

A possible solution is to, after a reconfig hack, lower the base of ONE attribute to 5 and "regain" those points to allocate elsewhere.

I chose very bag stats before to start with and I would like to have the chance to choose again.

Someone sent me a tell with a misunderstanding so I will clarify, this DOES NOT have to do with the RSI Reconfig hack.

This has to do with the type of RSI you began with, Suspicious Cynic, Troubled Intellectual, etc.

An example of your archetype base attributes (mine currently) would be
Belief 8
Perception 5
Reason 8
Focus 11
Vitality 8

Now I want an archetype that gives me at least 8 in Belief Perception and Focus with either Reason or Vitality getting 5.

You're all potentially being robbed of 3 more attribute points!! which under the new system account for much more than the old system!!

Please post your support/ideas!

I know this is a snowballs chance in hell but I really dont want my current 1 for CR2.0 either.....I was actually gonna ask this some time ago but I wasnt sure if ppl and SOE would support this....

*looks at 5 base Belief* ouch....

They should just set all our base points to zero and we can go from there.

yah I dont think they will do that...

Maybe different RSI hacks would do the trick .... what would reset you to each diff archetypes ... I think programming wise - if they would do it of course  - that would be the easiest to do

just number it like "RSI hack 1" etc...and put the base Attribs what it gives in the description

of course players would have to receive all of the hacks to reset it to their liking and then devs would have to code it so only 1 could be used ...ppl with full invs would not receive all the hacks etc...

maybe just do 1 RSI hack with an option screen...That would be the best

Player clicks RSI hack ... window pops up ... player selects desired archetype ... attribs reset ... everyones happy

Of course it wont happen for 2 reasons

1: All the devs are still working on CR2 to get all the bugs'n such done for the 2nd deadline
2: This was brought up kinda late

But lets hope for the best SMILEY

I think you'll find most people with the first character made this mistake. I think the best solution was as Militis said of how they should just reset them all back to zero if they could. Either that or just allow people to select archetypes again. Or I've just thought, give an RARH that resets all your attribute points but also gives you another 3 on top. I say 3 because that's all it would take to get the lowest attribute upto 8 which I think is fair.

Nice Idea. The easiest way to do this would be the RSi hack dropping all stats to 5pts each giving us another 15 points to allocate. It would only be sensible really as we all built our characters with a completely different system in mind, don't really think it'll happen and grinding a new character to 50 might be a bit much for some of us.

imo essential or else the MxO veterans are effectively penalised, I raised this issue some time ago.
