Man, people will just complain about anything these days.  For all you know, the mission areas WILL be different.  We'll have to wait and see.  Ever since Beta, people have been asking for the white hallways to be opened up, and now that they've found a way to do that, people are bitching about the way it'll be implemented.  Beautiful.

What will be the org only area for merovingians? Will get any preview screenshots before it's released?

The Merovingian areas (there are about five or six different floorplans per org) are called "Merovingian Palace" in the mission design tool. They're pretty much large sprawling mission areas (fairly standard room and hall shapes) done up in a posh chateau-esque style. I'll be surprised if Walrus is able to resist leaking out a screenshot or two at some point.

Question for later:

Does this mean the Hallways will be got too through the Archivist teleportation thing?  Cause that would be kind of lame...:smileysad:

No. The key will lead to a door. Going through the door will transport you to the white hallways. Entering a certain one of the doors inside the hallways will transport you to the mission area.

Once in the mission area, if you turn around and go back out the door into the hallway, you'll find yourself back in the white hallways, and from there you can take the exit door back to the city, if you want.

That's awesome!

Would the Ascension Monument be one of those doors, or will we just have to wait and see?

For your information I dont really **bleep** about stuff at all.  Turns out, that there are unique mission areas.  This wasnt communicated until about 2 posts ago.  Settle down before you try to act like I'm being an **bleep** because in all reality I'm reacting from what he said.  He sort of downplayed the white room thing, probably inadvertently.  I dont know about you, but I dont have 100 million info and never will, so I probably wont be able to even take part in this unless one of my friends has one.  I'm pleased to see that there will be org specific areas and that they'll be large, though.  From what Rarebit said, it looks like my intial thought was wrong.

Sorry for bringing up concerns, **bleep**.

Yeah what Q said, 100 million is kinda pushing it for some people. Mind making it around 50 mil?

I thought about it, but decided against it for a number of reasons:

1) I wasn't sure it would work with an exterior door like that, and it would have taken a lot of extra time to find out--actually I'm not even sure that door is a separate door object, or just a solid part of the monument's facade, in which case I definitely couldn't replace it anyway.

2) Paul has mentioned possible other uses for that monument in the past, and I didn't want to do something that could conflict with anything he wants to come up with for it.

3) Doors in Richland/Westview can only lead to Zion hallway areas, and I didn't want to imply an association between Zion and the monument.

I'm probaly among the poor vets, with about 10 mil to my name.  I still support it being 100 mil.  I should be HARD to get to the White Halls.  It should be a reward for going above and beyond the call of duty for your Org.

Yeah,
there are people who will be able to buy it as soon as it comes out,
but for us normal Joes, it'll be a challenge.  (And if the mission
archive comes out with it, I'll be grinding anyway.)
