Anyone forked up enough cash for one of those babies so they could see if the same problem persists from the 8xxx series indoors?

No, and yes. [No I didn't fork up the cash, yes the problem persist.]
From what I've been told by a user with one.

I thought the 9xxx will have the same architecture that the 8xxx series have but just a little more upgraded.

The only other difference in the cards is less power usage, and a slight graphical upgrade. The real winner of this set will be the ATi HD4K series. Which sucks since I just made the ATi to nVidia transfer.
Anyways, the topic. No it won't change anything.

I got my 8800 GTS at Christmas, and that was relatively new. Lol, they already have a 9xxx GX2 or something at $500. Man, on one hand I'm glad they're advancing technology as a competitor with Radeon, but I'd assume the improvement isn't worth the 200-300 dollar comparison.

So I assume you would need vista to play the game with 9xxx series properly? Planning to get one.

The problem with the Nvidia cards is one of hardware + drivers. While the issue is on Nvidia's plate to fix there is no way to get an ETA for it.

I just got a 9800GX2 and running mxo with basic useropts at 60fps outside. Inside it does get a bit choppy but nothing near like what I saw from 8xxx videos that were posted. It was playable but not entirely enjoyable. So, I will probably have to make the same adjustments people are making for the 8xxx series cards. With the 400 version useropts/options that I received from annbazman, I was running 30fps no lag outside and I forgot to check the inside of buildings because I was enjoying outside scenery too much
