Being a new redpill to the game i see alot of hatred between humans towards machines.  As i see it, machines are really looking out for the humans. When neo destroyed Smith, the machines could of cared less about peace and could of crushed zion, but they seemed to have a change in heart when they found that there are other uses for humans other than for power.

Humans are very impulsive and do not think of what the future holds for their actions. Machines think logically, thinking of the possibilities of each action and what it would hold in the future. Combining these 2 concepts could be very profitable to each side, as long as they could comprimise. The machines comprimised to let humans take people out of the matrix that want to be taken out, but what if there are so many people that want out that there starts to be a power shortage for the machines. That might pose a problem. think about it.
