Maybe in a few more posts I could make a signature.

BTW, about PVP etiquette....the other day a guy was pounding on a machine player- he was red- so I whipped out my machine gun and fired into the interlock to help the guy out , but was told that's bad form. Now where I come from, if a guy is getting jumped, well, you help him out if he is your faction, no matter the level.

Clarify this for me- was this just an exception? Or does faction (machine, Merovingian,. Zion) just not mean so much here.

As a lowbie probably not that fussed, they may have just been referring to if your under level 16 that it was a bad idea to fight because you would then be killed if the red won the original fight.

Oh I don't care about that, you don't lose anything by dying, unless you're dumb enough to go into combat full a full inventory of bits. I'm just not going to stand by and watch a fellow machine get hosed.

Yah well thats a whole nuther issue. If the guy is red, why bother with a duel? Why not just fight?

For a new player you are dead right...Any veteran of this game knows if they fight 1v1 out in the open there is a good chance someone is going to jump in,which is well within their rights.

The game devs actually made us special areas like the fight club at rogers way etc to duel....so my advice is play how you'd like and don't worry about opinions.

Well I'm new here is all...and I know there's a lot of vets running around and the population is pretty tight knit.

Red is dead. Got it.

That's been said Many many times now...Even by me.

But its not always that easy. Some-times it's your friend or Family Member whos the red...What to do then...

I would Because I don't like madden...

I think its pretty sad that you have like 19 characters who flame others ingame...Pretty sad.

*Puts up his hand*

That was me.

Just to say, I never said it was bad form.  By all means, it's good to see someone willing to PvP, as opposed to jumping away at the first sign of trouble.

What I did say was, you were level 11.  No matter how well-meaning and thoughtful you were being, you were just putting yourself at "risk".  Granted, it means sweet FA unless you have code bits like you said, but the 50-odd damage you could probably do to the guy wouldn't help that much.

It's not about the damage, it's about the states he can cause.

I'd just like to point out that it's nice to see a new player for once who is intelligent enough to "get" the game without others telling him...
