Cancelling our subscriptions might stick it to the man, but it does nothing for our IP.

Neither does mindlessly spamming and complaining.

Being realistic doesn't = being content.

Personally i'm not calling for a boycott (don't think garu was being particularly serious) and I'll join in the call on SoE to give us something, but continually using the lines of 'we pay for this and that' when the reality of it shows that we don't, just won't cut it.

Losing subs will send a message but will probably not give us the response we want, spamming these boards with complaints, as cloudwolf stated above, almost certainly won't get a response. So a letter campaign prehaps? I recall someone mentioning something like that. E-mails to the head person? Fine, let's give 'em all a crack, but at least lets not give them something they can disregard purely because we have the facts wrong.

THIS........ is why I started playing the game and why I aimlessly pay $15.98/month.

Maybe someday I'll get that spark in my heart again when it was all new.

Then again....maybe not.

Can we merge all these threads?

Personally, I have no problem with complaints.  In fact, I support people giving honest feedback.  People should voice their dislikes for things.  When a company cares about its customers then their complaint's give the company something to focus on.

I'm only really tired of the complaints DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

We might as well all wear goggles on our faces and spin dead cats over our heads by the tail.  Hell, it may get us noticed moar. O_O

Well, my question is this, Garu...

If someone were to organize a massive group effort to reasonably get the attention of the higher-ups, how many people in our community do you honestly think would involved themselves?

I mean, I've thought a thousand times about putting together such an effort.  Hell, I could do it right now.  But without people willing and able to back it up, it's just as redundant and pointless as these threads.

I think the first step should be a 2 to 3 server merge.  I'm happy to see that this idea has built up a solid momentum.   Its kind of like the patient is in critical condition and that might at least bring the patient back to critical but stable condition.

If there is not to be any more content then I think a rate reduction would be appropriate.   I don't know how realistic that would be though.

It would be great if Walrus could at least placate the masses as it were by staying in touch with us on roughly a weekly basis.

I'm actually having a good time online getting caught up with stuff.  And I'm looking forward to the Anniversary Event.  After that though I'd like to have some idea what is going to happen after that.  So before then I'm content to let the MxO team get themselves sorted.

Indeed, operative.  I'm not sure how many would join up but you can count on my support.  I've got little to nothing else to do at the moment. SMILEY

Mave tried this, and while many people said they would help...  very little actually did.

That said, I would help again.

Exactly my point.

If you guys want me to try and put something together and organize it, I'll do it...   but not without knowing that I'll have back-up.  I see no point in sticking my neck out, if I'm going to be one of the only few doing it.

If you guys want a change, it'll require manpower.  We're talking about current players, and players who left a long time ago, out of the same disgust we're facing now.

I find it interesting that the previously linked thread on Mave's effort ends shortly after he sent his first letter.

I presume it failed.

That being said, anyone know if that address he posted is still correct? I will at the very least be writing them when I cancel my subs in a few months.

Not that I expect it to help, I just want to make it clear to them that I will NEVER, EVER subscribe to any other SOE games. That might (might, i said) be of more consequence than my cancelling of the subs.

Anyway, I am willing to send a letter or two, without even seeing anyone else commit.
