The fact is, the entire 01mainframe.com site is down, not just the Joker related stuff.  It's used for more than just the Joker event.

The domain is open until 2009, and is hard to think a mainteinance procedure during so long

Has anybody been able to crack the Base64 stuff ? ... If not I suppose we need to start brainstorming a bit.

The numeric grid revealed after a base 64 decrypt suggests to me some sort of grid type cipher.. the fact that there are no zeros is significant as is the fact that the digits go from 1 to 9.... Does one cipher number represent one plain text character or do a pair of numbers generate a single plain text character?  The fact that there is no 0 probably rules out a straddling checkerboard cipher... and the range of digits rules out a bifid cipher.

Here is a number frequency count for the Merovingian cipher text

Single digit frequencies

    1    2    3    4    5    6    7    8    9

  105  119  121  117  106   99  100  129  104

Double digit frequencies as read left to right ....top to bottom

   Tens   1    2    3    4    5    6    7    8    9   <- unit digit

=====================================================

    1  :  3    5   12    7    1    5    5    2    2

    2  : 12    3    7    6    3    5    7   12    2

    3  :  8   12    5   11    6    3    1   10    4

    4  :  6    5    6    8    4    5    5    8    5

    5  :  5    8    7   11    8    3    7    6    4    there are 4 59's in the Merovingian cipher text

    6  :  4    8    5    2    2    8    4    8    4

    7  :  9    6    5    3   10    9    2    9    8

    8  :  5   10    7   11    5    9    1    6    4

    9  : 11    5    7    6    8    7    7   10    5

Strayshot shared with me the thought that the individual cipher texts probably are about the

individual in whose section they are found .. Therefore it is highly likely that each block

probably contains the name of the person in question ... This could be used as a "crib" to help

break the code once somebody figures out which encryption algorithm is being used.

Thats all for now,

Con

The final "It Is Not Easy" page is back up.  Time to start puzzling our puzzlers over it again. ^-^

You think that is refering to the 991 puzzle? I thought it was refering to the current situation with the morpheus SIM, being as his head or thoughts may be the key to the rsi data.

But I see what you are saying, it could also refer to the 991 puzzle. perhaps we shall see.

I think I had mentioned on a previous page that the characters listed with the colors were all pieces left on the board, but that was not correct, the b symbol(second row) or the bishops are not on the board. perhaps this is signifigant in some way.

I already tried black(red)bishop relocate the node with the word life in the text box. so I thought i'd throw this out there for everyone.

Not sure, but I know Scanline does have a lot to do with 991. Perhaps this translation will help. I found it odd that the "e?" is missing in the binary to the right, but that might be a clue itself.

This could also refer to the Taskmaster as he is mentioned in the last line as well...

If the Taskmaster is a simple pawn...

In the struggle between man and machine you are just a pawn.

I'm unstickying this for now, although that doesn't mean any puzzles you're working on or whatever ended.
