My dear friends in E Pluribus Neo,

Things do not always go as one would wish. Several days ago, a power spike in my carrier signal alerted the Machines to my presence and broadcast frequency within the Matrix. They were able to jam my signal, preventing me from jacking out of the Matrix. Even as the crew of our hovercraft, Neo's Hope, worked frantically to re-route my signal, Machine operatives zeroed in on my position at Apollyon Park. Fortunately, some of my crew members and supporters were able to reach me first.

As night turned to day, in a pursuit that took us across Richland, the Machines made multiple efforts to capture or kill me. I owe my life to those present defending me, and to the crew members onboard my hovercraft, who at last succeeded in switching my signal so that I could jack out. While the situation looked grim many times that day, with my friends at my side, I did not lose hope.

I owe you my life. I swear to you that I will continue to carry on our fight, no matter what happens, until the day that the System is defeated, and mankind is free once more.

Yours,

Shimada

It was an honor to protect you, Shimada. Whatever the peril, know that
you have at least one guardian always willing to fight for you. Willing
to fight for an ideal.

(Whew, that was really good. I'm saving those pictures.)

*sigh*

This could have all been averted had she accepted arrest... just another sad example of the ways the Neonites choose to follow.

Next time, perhaps, arrest will not be the first option...

(( Some VERY nice screens in there SMILEY ))

From
what I heard on team chat, the machines -did- get to her.  As in,
they managed to take her HP down to 0 and kill her.
HostileIntention, Espi, and someone else I forget.

From what I heard, that was a simple lie that quickly spread throughout the crowd.

Just let her tell what happened and don't rely on rumors and speculation.

Besides, Whoever got to fight and managed to kill Shimida should be
thankfull she didnt have on the admin buffs. Surpirsed she didnt myself.

You choose violence even when a peaceful solution is provided? People are being freed, if you have not noticed. See us here, discussing this? Awake, aware, making our own choices.

But not everyone is ready to wake up, and that is not something you can force on people. Senseless violence will not help them, or endear them to your cause. Neo understood the need for peace, yet you continue to waste lives. I cannot imagine a greater insult to his memory.

The truce is the best hope for human and machine. We need to learn to live with each other, or there will never be peace... or freedom.
