If its the notion that the Mech/Merv/Zion get critical missions and because of that said notion the liaisons of said organizations do not need to make appearances when the CYPH/EPN LO's (which I must say are the far most dedicated people to their orgs EVA!!!) actually do something for their organizations, I get a little disillusioned... I mean Dreami isn't the only LO logging in on Vector but fair has to be fair and I've heard she's one dedicated mutha and posting up event she runs herself is a nice thing to see liaisons do aside from "Go to coordiate x, y z, floor 4" in Live Events and then nothing is heard from them until the next month, maybe it was time for some 2.5 or 3.0 or what they call themselves to get cracking and make something for the Mervs to participate in. (from a Merv point of view not that the event didn't have that but I would feel like a fool running in one single Merv while the rest of my organization is farming overridden exiles in Chelsea - I'm gung ho but not a that gung ho.) /shrug.
A recap of how we got ganked for five minutes and than a total rose colored glasses approach to a ruined evening for alot of people? Yeah thats pure dedication... SMILEY

I think from alot of people I have talked to in all organizations agree this is one of the generally worst ran events ever. We went into planning builds heck I even farmed Valrkie consumables to give us an edge as well as brought my buff bot. We talked about Merovingian involvment what it boiled down to was 15 Zionites in a room a character using bugged un attainable items to get this done even more skewed and us getting killed at the very end with no real moderation or guidence. Honestly this entire thing struck me as if it was intentionally done to favor Zion and expect us to Jolly Gee Wizz RP it off at the next event...

The fact that this was posted and I can only assume ran by a Cypherite liason makes you wonder how much our own officers really even care about our organization our enjoyment of the game or our involvement when putting something like this on... Obviously this was not thought out because we had mentioned to her many times our concerns for a vast population difference and the only reply we got for days on end is "Well learn from it" Honestly learn from it...? What exactly do you learn from jacking in at 9 PM getting zerged by 15 Zionites and having a non moderated and skewed event who's center piece is wearing bugged items?

Don't even get me started on logistics regarding ability timers and the realistic chances for anyone to even catch this guy within reason. Put up a real fight. Than we can also go into the fact that this event started Im guessing before the official time. This resulted in a 10 minute event which even than would have been honestly a waste to begin with being cut even shorter. As you can see in many peoples posts in resulted in multiple people in every organization logging in just a few minutes late and missing the entire event. "And if the excuse applies that they should have been there on time I suppose we can say the same for the Courier".
All Im going to say is the fact that stuff like this isn't even confronted and in alot of regards people are made bad guys in this game when vocalizing these issues and not dropping them for social comfortability is saddening. On a personal note this event had been hyped for a long time now. I passed up going out to a steak dinner to make it thinking it was going to be something epic. Instead this is what we got for as close to an official content source as were going to receive in a subscription based Sony game.

You would think after something as out there as this we would get something outside of "What have we learned?" In an attempt to shift the conversation in a direction that results in no conforntation of how utterly tragic this entire evening was. I can tell you heres what I learned. 7 Cypherites arn't a match for 15 to 20 EPN and Zions. MKT timers don't permit me to properly catch a player whos wearing pre nerf Widows Gi and Boots. Actually starting events on time especially when their entire duration is that of somewhere between five to ten minutes allows what little Cypherite population is left playing MxO to actually participate. Not doing this scares off Syntax Cypherites that some of us have worked very hard to make feel welcome on this server because were in desperate need of quality population. And what I learned most of all is it seems some people just dont care and thats the biggest let down of all on this.

Yeah, that was completely involuntary (me jacking out).  I really wanted to help out, but as soon as I jacked in, this is what I saw:

I tried jacking in two more times (after hitting Alt-F4 and then waiting a couple minutes), but I kept getting the same result. SMILEY
this happens to me almost every single time i /jackout or crash.. when you're game's loading hit space bar over and over again until it loads and you will jump as soon as you get in... pretty unconventional i think, but it's worked for 3 years for me

I was hoping the server restart would fix this, but it didn't.  I tried hitting the space bar like you said, but that didn't seem to help.  I guess I'll just have to CCR it. SMILEY

Priv,

You do have some points but some need clarification. The event started on time as far as I could tell. It was maybe even a few minutes after the alotted time when the courrier hit the street. I believe this because we were fighting accelerated exiles until the alloted time. and had to rush to get to the event on time.

But that does underscore the speed issue since it was over before late arrivals could get in the event. Next time may be a different story, though.

Good luck to my fellow Cypherites on this operation. Hopefully this one goes in your favor, unfortunately I will be unable to attend but I will be with you in spirit.

Reports comfirm today's delivery was successful. There was no termination or revival of the courier during this delivery so there are no secondary objectives.

So what happened at this one? I wasn't able to attend, but no one killed him? Wasn't as big as a turn out this time around or what? Just curious

Ya, I'd like to know too. Sounds like there wasn't any resistance at all.

I think alot of us decided to go to the Cypherite party on Recursion. This first event was a huge let down it sounds like whoever planned this really could have cared less about the feedback and did the same exact thing for this one.

With that said I decided not to go and I know a few other active members of the organization chose not to either.

Getting people involved in these events tends to require maybe a little bit of flexibility if you fail the first time the solution isn't to ignore it. That just gets what you got now a statement that were not all that interested in having skewed events.
