Truthfully, I tire of the silly cheat codes the Machines allowed to be slopped around the city; however, if in fact one may be put to this very good use, I shall bear them no grudge. Locating them has in the past proven to be rather difficult, but let us see what results this code of the General's produces, eh?

I applaud this because it actually seems like a hefty amount of foreshadowing. And it reminds me of the original movies a great deal. The General is a wonderful character.

A wonder why Commandos who cannot be tracked don't use the tracking code. Yet he gives it to someone who can be tracked. The General is just going to watch the exiles chase their tails while we pounce them.

it's all about one thing or another. The merv provides transport, now that the General's nodes are shut down. The general provides a means to do what?

A code which isn't a cheat code. What could that be? Mean while remember the General thinks thirty steps ahead. He would only do something to help further his goal. Of what? Bringing down the system of course.

The General wants to bring back this code. The SMITH VIRUS! That will bring down the system for sure. Why the merv wants it? We don't know. Maybe its to make an army of unlimits like the whipped one they already have.

From the looks of things, da machines had a reason to only dump the vials into the water, next to the dump.

If they really only need one, they should check the shoreline. according to the cinematic, they were a tad sloppy about it.. one kinda didn't go all the way into the water.
