Wow. I just went through her posts, and indeed almost all of them have been erased. I can only remember some that would have been even close to iffy on violating TOS or inappropriate, simply deleting them all is what I would consider... abuse of powers?

Is that how it's going to be -- now that Walrus is gone, the moderators have free reign?

MXO - Restore the thread

Hi dear admins!

Enigma deleted every posting of me and Annie. He had the chance to tell us which message wasn't ok, I had edited everything, I had changed every signature, Ann of course too.  But who cares about sigs, the photos were the important resource, we made so many wonderful ingame photos. Enigma destroyed everything, there were so many possibilities to solve it in a other way, we spent 2 years on this thread. We collected the best ingame photos. Ann made all config files and tips, all is away now. Can someone restore it? Me and Annie would edit all sigs or whatever wasn't ok?

bye

Miss Arzu Bazman

Well I suppose Enigma doesnt realize that as a moderator he could ask the higher ups to remove a signature, instead of ruining a great resource. I suppose inexperience is once again rearing its head.

Anyone have any of these deleted pictures they could PM me?  I'd never visited this thread, and now curiosity is at optimum levels.

Hi dear mxo users and graphic lovers!

As you see this thread is dead now, Enigma deleted every posting, every config tip, every photo we made. The work of me and Arzu was a 2 years hard work of running arround the city a trying to make the best mxo photography. One of the mxo moderators made the desicion to delete everything, something like that is absolute the heaviest stuff I had in my internet history. People destroy work which was so loved and honored. I alone sent 300 config files to different people, because they saw this thread. It was the thread which was showing the people how good MXO can look, when you run it with perfect configured files. All is deleted, all is away. Arzu is totaly down of course, that all were mostly her ingame photos. I am strong, Arzu is that not. That is darkest day in our 2.5 years MXO. I hope there is one wisely admin who can do something for us, I don't know. Please help us. That what happens here points nearly to hate or something, how can ppl destroy such a work, we spent 2.5 years on it, someone eliminated it in some seconds.

good bye

...you do keep backups of your images, right?
Dude, it wasn't even about that. It was about all the settings and examples they posted as they learned. I agree that there was a lot of work put into this thread, and it's nearly incoherent with their posts gone like this. I mean seriously, what is it that warrants them being removed? I'm sure they can be edited at the very least. I can't help but find this to be a bit absurd.

Moderators can submit to the highers up [now Raijin] for signatures to be removed. For Enigma to go down her post tracket and just delete her posts shows a total lack of understanding of how he is supposed to conduct himself.

....and if they keep backups of images and text, then they haven't lost anything and can easily repost either here or somewhere else if needed. i get what its "about", but its the fact that she was talking about it like the whole lot had gone up in smoke, in the panicked sort of tone that people take with things of a digital nature where no backups exist, that I was curious about.

Heh, there was no need for all that though, is what I'm saying. I think it's fairly safe to say that they still have all that stuff. Ann and Arzu can correct me if I'm wrong about that. I think it's also safe to say that most of us here would be a bit PO'ed if something we were doing for the community all this time was removed, whether it was a matter of reposting it or not. I keep a detailed archive of my work, but I'd still be saying '*CENSORED*' if all of my posts in my art threads where just gone one day too.

oh i would too, no doubt about it - however i approach everything from an internet security POV and so everything begins and ends with backups, regardless of situation SMILEY

hopefully they'll rez the lost posts though, its rather odd to suddenly hose them after all this time.

Apparently it would have just taken way to much time to have actually gone through her post tracker and edited out her signature instead of removing her posts and the information they contained.

Stupid moderation choices FTL.

Her sigs and faction were called RAF. This could reference many things from "Royal Air Force" to "Red Army Faction".

The Red Army Faction, was a West German Dissident/Terrorist group in the 80's. I would assume somebody sent in reports on Arzu saying how she supported terrorisim and tada, stupid moderation choices FTL.

I am still confused as to why they removed her signatures.  There was nothing provocative about them.  Which one did they remove?
