It was suggested that I post to the forums by Senior GM Brewko since he was unable to assist me in game with several requests.  My original problem is that my Crew Captain is unable to log in to the game and has been unable to get the problem resolved by Sony Support.  The result being that he has left the Matrix for friendly places.  This has left me in a bind since as FM, I have no authority to boot or promote or disband.  Sony's answer to this is that they can not help me at this time.  I do not feel that this is the correct answer but will have to live with it for now.  It is my beleif that a tool should be provided to tier 1 or 2 support, that would enable them to reset certain flags on the database when a player becomes inactive.  I am not saying they would need to delete anything but they should have the ability to set inactive players to Null for Faction and Crew settings or to automatically Promote a senior member when another members account becomes inactive.  I also suggested that their inability to do any type of update to the database could contribute to serverside lag.  This was misread as  myself having lag issues, which I rarely experience and I was directed to technical support who could help me change my pc settings.  I also asked about a copy/paste function for ingame ccr's and was told this was not available.  This is a tool I think should be provided for player convenience.  At the very least, I'd like to see the availability of a download tool for ingame ccr's.  Over all, I found Senior GM Brewko's willingness to help good but feel that he has not been provided with the tools neccesary to do his job.

I totally agree here. This would greatly help out the community,
especially the smaller groups that rely on active members. It's not
good at all when an important member of a faction or crew goes AWOL due
to something unforeseen and nothing can be done about it besides
letting the group of friends you got crumble into dust, leaderless and
divided.

Once agree, I totally agree.

Send in a ticket about the matter.

Good luck!

I agree.

We have thought of a email newsletter in our faction, but that's alot of name typing.

So I feel it would be nice if you could just type "Faction" in "To:" so
it sends an email to all in the faction, also "Crew" works the same way
but only with the crew. This could be really nice if the devs made this.

I originally sent in a ticket from the web site that was closed immediately as resolved since it was an ingame problem.  I then opened a ticket ingame only to find that the GM's do not have the abilities to fix this.  That is why my original post was made.  I've reported an issue multiple times through different avenues with the same result.  "Sorry, we can't help you."  The issue is still unresolved.

Nah, I think the GMs have the appropriate powers they need ingame. I don't think any special access to the database, even to set simple flags are required. Just leave your crew, have the others leave the crew, and create a new one.

I got the same sort of response when I tried to contact account and tech support about getting my account flagged as Beta.. It was closed and "resolved" with them telling me to contact in game support.. When I contacted in game support they told me "This is an account issue.. contact tech and account support"

*shrug* I don't take pleasure in being run in circles.. I was then later told "there is nothing we can do for you"..
