This is where we shun Sphairo for being a non-believer.

And not saying our names.

But mainly the faith thing!

Why do they stay?
In the roleplay aspect, the setting makes it very easy for people to immerse themselves in, many those who wouldn't have tried roleplaying before. It's so easy because its you, in this world - the idea of putting yourself in the matrix world is something very appealing.
I remember watching the trailer for the game, and how excited it made me to join the game, to become part of the matrix.
It still has a soft spot in my heart. :)

In the community aspect, there are some wonderful people here, people with talent, people worth getting to know. Never would I have thought I'd be having some deep philosophical discussion of the matrix with someone until sunrise. There are people you meet here that become like family, and those that stay do so because in a way this is a home, this community a family - those that stay do so not because of what the game is, but how people make it.

Why do they go?
As with any large gathering of people with different personalities, not everyone gets along. On the internet, it is easy to poke fun at people without considering their feelings - that they too are human. Some people see this game differently, and unconsciously expect others to see their perspective. It's natural. A group of people looking at a painting will easily break into an argument over what they see - but you can't see what someone else sees unless you stand where they have. You can only see what you see, which is different from what other see, some only slightly, others moreso.

Eh, I don't want to rant too much, but I think I said what I wanted to say. :)

I am Purpplo.  Purplovia is my home.  It is my own private neighborhood in The Matrix. The Matrix is real, and we are all just bluepills in what we think of as The Real World.

Get a life?  I have one--in The Matrix!!

Lul Nice avatar, FYI it's a little to big.
