This was a pretty fun mission, but I do have a few questions.  Why would the machines care if The Merovingian has data on the Earth's lanscape, the elevation data, etc.  What threat does that pose?

I do have to agree with Halborn here, the machines are always talking about efficiency and how efficient they are, but yet they do runabouts like this, at least us Cypherites get work hehe.

Finally, there's this.

Why doesn't the machine want Halborn to learn about Cryptos and his overwritten mind, or more like a mesh of man and program?

Probably because overwriting him may have involved the BIP.

Nah, they've overwritten a few Redpills. That's why Seraph went on a little rampage.

Agent Gray probably doesn't trust Cryptos anymore to do as he asks; Veil on the other hand is always willing to destroy ships and cause violence.

This brings up my thought of  Agent Gray and The Architect actually fearing for their lives.

Also, tee hee at the Colonel comment. COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT!

Architect: Agent Gray.

Agent Gray: Sir?

Architect: I hear it's AMAZING when the purple stuffed worm, from flap-jaw space, does a raw blink on Harikiri Rock. I NEED SCISSORS!!! 61

I wonder if anyone actually did turn the console off SMILEY
I didn't, and was happy to see the japanese girls replace the radar ^^

Anyway, back on topic...

I loved this mission, as well as the other two - the way the story's going right now is really interesting.

And I thought the Colonel thing was a reference to the Architect's resembelence to Colonel Sanders - and not Col Campbell.

Makes a lot more sense now after reviewing the last Merv event. The topographical data apparently reveals the location of Halborns colony. So it seems that the Machines are protecting it or have an agreement with someone that they will not interfere with it or it's inhabitants, but that doesn't mean that they can't allow Humans to locate Carlyne and lead Halborn to his location...

Shame it wasn't a full license to kill.

Well this started out looking like we were going to try to track down the map of the real the Merv stole from the machines! But after following some clues and fighting some bad guys we were interruped by Halborn! He wanted to meet with the machine leaders to ask about where to find Carlyne's ship! Agent Pace was there to say they can't tell him, but they sent him to Veil and the Cypherites instead and said he can get the answers from them! How do they know how to find his ship I wonder! :O

That's true, but my understanding is that Cryptos is the only one who Seraph wasn't able to completely remove the Machine program from.  I agree with what Zudrag said.
