As I recall the UGM and UGA buffs are supposed to be removed when you travel via a hardline. The rationale is that because it can be provided by someone else it should be removed. This however doesn't mean ALL buffs should follow this rationale but it was used in these 2 cases.

the problem in that thinking is that if you've got a buff bar full of other buffs, you'll lack the buffer space to get rebuffed with UM, meaning your forced to remove your other buffs so that you can get rebuffed with UM.

MxO is about choices.

Sorry, but I reject reality and substitute my own. And now, there is no choice.

Upgrade Artist is a Title Upgrade, only appliable to yourself, not others. The problem that I see is that when you apply the Upgrade Master buff to someone else and they go through a hardline, it stays on. If you apply the Upgrade Master buff to yourself and go through a hardline, it goes away. I don't see why the same rule doesn't apply to both situations.

choices? what choice is there in this?

A base buffer is 200 points. The UM buff costs 150 points, and then buffs you for another 200 points of buffer space. So assuming you get buffed with UM, enhanced dodge, fast healing 2.0, bolster health 3.0, speed 3.0, efficency, and CE1.0 or what most would call a "standard buff set" your buffer is nearing the 400 point cap.

Thanks to CR2 which changed the functionality of how UM works, UM now functions as a base buff. What that means is you have to get buffed with UM before you can get buffed with any other buffs because of its buffer cost. So without having 150 free buffer points, you cant get buffed with UM.

So what that means for pvp is, you get all buffed up, your buff timers are no where near over, you travel from one HL to another, and poof, your UM buff is gone resetting your buffer back down to 200 points. Now because of the other running buffs you have going you lack the 150 buffer space to reapply the UM buff with out wiping all your buffs and getting rebuffed with everything.

So, I'll again ask the question, what choice is there here? Only choice I see is the question of using the hardline or not, which isnt even an option if your going from one district to another.
