Evaluator:
GAUGING INTEREST; READ THIS BEFORE READING FURTHER: If there are not at least 15 people signed up by Friday, December 12th, this evaluation will NOT happen. This is because the scoring system does not mesh well with a tournament style when the participation numbers are very low. Given the participation rate for the previous evaluations, it is likely that the minimum requirement will not be met. If this occurs, this evaluation will be skipped, but the rest of the tests will continue.
The seventh test in this series goes back to combat. Specifically this time, with a more direct form of fighting with firearms. This will include any and all abilities from the gunman branch of the operative program set: SMG specialist, sniper, expert rifleman, and duelist.
This evaluation will begin and finish on one day. Participants are picked randomly (in most cases) to engage in one-on-one combat. The victor advances to the next tier and is credited for a win. The defeated opponent ends the exercise and retains the wins they were credited to that point. This cycle continues until a top undefeated winner is decided.
Time and date: Sunday, December 14th, 2:00 P.M.
1. To be a volunteer subject, you must state so here with your name, or in a private message to Merrit here on the Data Node One network (one name per Data Node One ID). Please make sure you give the name you go by in the Matrix, because many times this is different from your Data Node One ID.
2. Only items from the operative gunman program trees will be evaluated. This includes the SMG specialist, sniper, expert rifleman, and duelist disciplines. No abilities from the martial arts section of the tree or any other trees will be allowed for this test. There is a prerequisite set of programs that must be loaded to an RSI in order to obtain this, referred to as the "Awakened tree." Obviously, all programs from this tree will be included in the evaluation.
3. The articles of clothing Panacea shirt and Mother's coat have been excluded from this analysis and future analyses by subject request. Other items not mentioned which provide a significant advantage to a subject, but are impossible to obtain for other participants will also not be allowed. If you have a question about an item and whether it would be allowed or not, please ask. There are very few items that fall into this category, so I don't think it will be an issue.
4. Enhancements by the use of pills or injections (referred to as "boosters" or any outside weapons (sharp wooden objects, vials of water, silver bullets, prison mastery device, etc.) will not be included in the evaluation.
5. Subjects must reset the RSI just before each duel. This can be done by defeat through another duel scenario, or jacking out of the simulation entirely, then entering again.
6. Those who defeat their opponent subject will move to the next round. Those who are defeated will be awarded their 75 points and will end this exercise.
7. No RSI altering disguises will be allowed during the test.
I didn't participate in the other evaluations. Does that mean I can't participate in this one?
No. There are no restrictions on who can and cannot participate in each evaluation. You may participate in any or all of them.
Do I have to be at a certain neurokinetic level to take part in this evaluation?
No, but please be aware those in lower neurokinetic levels are at a disadvantage in this test and it may not be possible to obtain the maximum possible number of points. Any points you earn will go towards the overall total for all evaluations, so participating is advantageous to not participating at all.
Do I have to sign up on Data Node One to be eligible to participate?
Yes. See the above rules for the specific way of signing-up.
If the evaluation has already started, and I arrive late, can I still participate?
If the evaluation is still in the first tier or round, yes, but you must sign-up according to the rules above. If the test is in the second tier or later, I'm afraid it will not be possible to join with the format the way it is.
Can I mix abilities from all different parts of the gunman trees?
Yes. The only restriction is to keep the abilities within the gunman branch.
How will the scoring system work in this evaluation?
Like evaluation 1, places are awarded based on number of victories.
1st - 1200 points
2nd - 1000 points
3rd - 900 points
4th - 800 points
5th - 700 points
6th - 600 points
7th - 500 points
8th - 400 points
9th - 300 points
10th - 200 points
How many duels will there be for each subject in each round?
One.
Will there be 75 points awarded to each person who participates?
Yes.
Please ask any additional questions here, to me directly in the Matrix, or through a private message here to Merrit on Data Node One. Thanks for your participation!
